In the moment of exhilaration, all the sacrifice and ridicule goes out the window, when you see the final result. It is an outstanding performance. It never fails to bring tears to my eyes.

Best I have ever seen--- in 80th and 90th I was a "normal" swan--- but this more emotional and more powerfull and fits with the music perfect

The feelings start for me in this scene when the male dancers look over at Billy with awe and admiration. By the time the leap and Da's gasp comes I'm crying like a baby. Every single time.

Actually, I think this is a more accurate depiction of swans than the old 19th century version. Swans are strong aggressive birds. Not the eternal swans depicted in the original ballet version is a fantasy.
