I had a drummer back in the 80s who did this before the advent of double bass pedals. in order to simulate two bass drums, without having to haul around all the gear. He did it even better.

Is there a way to play ghost notes or atleast practice it without having actual drums? I play on an electronic drum made with just rubber and its practically impossible to play good sounding ghost notes or even ghost notes on it. What I usually do is just subtly add a small smack on the rubber drum but sometimes it registers it as way too powerful that it plays the snare sound or it just doesn't play the snare sound. It's so confusing
