is it possible to still use the 2.5 inch drive bracket in this orientation? wanting to do the same as you have here but not sure if it would work with the psu mounted like that
@UndetectableSn1per8 күн бұрын
@@user-pe5vq5be7c I don't think you'd be able to squeeze in the bracket when you mount the PSU that way, even if you were to run an SFX PSU. Check Lian Li's A3 page to see the configuration options for the PSU position and drive bracket

@UndetectableSn1per thanks, I think I could fit 1 2.5 drive but I'm definitely not fitting 2.

you should put the gpu sag bracket on it, is pretty down not gonna lie
@UndetectableSn1perАй бұрын
Yep! Safe to say, a support post for the GPU has already been added. The one included wasn't able to reach in far enough to support the GPU, so we had to wait for the one we ordered.

great build. I think that with the 2 top fans as intake... you get even better cpu and internal component thermals.
@UndetectableSn1per2 ай бұрын
Honestly I don't think it would matter that much as the cooler can handle way more than the 5700X anyway. If anything, I'd still keep an eye out on temps for other components. Thanks!

Thank you so much for your video I am thinking of buying this case and your video is the first one where I see someone using an air cooler with an ATX power supply and a long 3 fans GPU which is exactly what I want. I’m interested in the thermals if you can share it with us
@UndetectableSn1per2 ай бұрын
Glad you found this informative. This case allows a GPU length up to 415mm with the PSU mounted on the highest position in the case. You MIGHT be able to get away with a 3.5 slot GPU but I think you will need slim 15mm bottom intake fans instead. You’d have an easier time with a 3-fan GPU shorter than 360mm as it frees up more space towards the front of the case. It felt like mounting the PSU on the side instead of the front allows a lot more flexibility for routing the PSU cables. The cables that came with mine were stiff and was bit of a struggle to route it to the GPU while trying to keep things tidy. Braided cables from the PSU may be easier to manage, and you will definitely want a fully modular PSU for this if you got a big GPU. As for temps, I didn’t get the chance to do too much, but we got a solid 70°C under load with fans at about 1000RPM. I won’t worry about the CPU as the cooler was a bit overkill for the 5700X which allows for upgradability in the future.

I recommend that instead of filing down the little lip on the dart lock, keep it the way it is. This is because if you file it down, there is a large chance of the lever snapping during gameplay. I learned the hard way. and also, any small piece of plastic will work as a mag release. so if you're stryfe didn't come with a dart lock, its ok. :)
@UndetectableSn1per3 жыл бұрын
I'm really surprised that there are people still watching this video! I get what you mean by not filing down the sides. I think the only reason I did that was because i can't push the lever far enough to release the mag with the lip still on. Good shout nonetheless!

Wow, I'm really late to the game here, and I doubt you'll even see the, but I recently bought an orange nerf stryfe, and after a while did some basic internal mods, and when it came to the dart lock, I realised I didn't have one in my blaster to start off with. The mod guide I was following told you to remove that anyway, so I didnt think much of it, but now I'm looking for an extended mag release, and I don't want to buy one and I don't have a 3d printer, so I found this great tutorial. Anyway, would there be any way to do this mod or a similar thing, with any other of the non useful parts I removed? They are various shapes and sizes, but the main thing I was wondering about was whether you chose to use the dart lock for any other reason than it's shape. If there is any other reason like the type of plastic, (though I'd doubt Hasbro would bother spending money on making different parts from different materials) or any other factor it would be great if you could help me out. Thanks Great vid btw. Sorry to see you with so few subs.

So you're basically wondering if it's possible to use other non-essential or unused internal bits to be used for the extended mag release? If that's the case, I don't think there are any options that I know of. The easiest way I can think of is to cut a strip of 3-5mm thick piece that's got the similar dimension from perspex or acrylic. You might even get away with using wood as well but it might not be as robust. I'm glad you enjoyed the video, and I only put this out for the heck of it and didn't really expect anything from it!
@CW_1554 жыл бұрын
@@UndetectableSn1per ye, I'm basically wondering if the use of the dart lock is because of any properties specific to that piece, or can I use any other spare internal part of the stryfe, that has similar dimensions.
@UndetectableSn1per4 жыл бұрын
@@CW_155 if you have extra bits then yeah you could. The only reason I've used the dart lock it's because I found out by accident how well the recessed area fits to the mage release pivot piece
