Slang polska is the actual national trad dance in Sweden and here we can appreciate the reason why. By the way: Petra Eriksson "is" slang polska! I wish I could dance some hundred times with her: then, maybe, I could express one tenth of the smooth uninterrupted energy they release.
@Zabadev Жыл бұрын
Do you know what type of släng polska this is? Maybe the region?
@tinapica68ify Жыл бұрын
@@Zabadev Ciao. As far as I know Slang polska is from somewhere in mid - Sweden. But I actually don't remember. I could ask someone I know, who can answer this question... Anyway: this "static" (="on the spot") performance is from the tradition, the "processional" (="around the dancehall") one which has nowadays taken place in most polskor-gatherings ("Stamman") is a new way of playing this dance, played particularly by young couples. If anyone could give a contribution to the description of what slang polskor were and what they are, please do. About the future...who knows?
Seeing Petra Eriksson dance was most definitely influential to my decision to learn nyckelharpa. Meanwhile I've also had the opportunity to do two dance workshops with her. Also, so sad that we won't ever see any more new videos on this channel...

Important traits if Swedish polskas + Notwegian polses 1) Each country has many local styles--- no 1dominant style. 2) They are usually social couple dances. 3) They require dancers to use ONLY 3 steps to make 360 degree turn, NOT in 6 steps like waltz (they do own versions.) 4) Each 1 of 3 steps is usually different from each other. 5) All couples do same routine of 4? turns, then repeat, all at same time following music. 6) Best, or, ONLY way to learn is in class + live teachers + live students..Live musicians also help. 7) You Tube may have performance videos, but instructional?? 8) The steps, holds, etc. are rather few. but difficult to learn. After learning relatively few elements, one can master these dances + sort of go on auto pilot BUT 1st 1 needs several.months of difficult learning, Good luck!!! E A No

Älskar att de är så flödande! Det går nästan inte att skilja på vem som är vem, på ett bra sätt :) Gillar kläderna med. Detta är ju uppenbarligen 6 år sedan, men vet du vart de köpte klänningarna?
@dansmaniac10 жыл бұрын
Visst är det fin dans! Klänningarna är designade av Petra Eriksson, de är gjorda av ulltyg.
