I know this is older, but for an automobile critic he should know that a 16” wheel spare tire can have a tire that’s the same outer diameter as a 17” wheel. Really a foolish thing to focus on. Example a 33x11.50/16 is the same size as a 33x11.50/17!! There’s just a difference in the sidewall. The important numbers are identical! 😂😂.

You know this happened with my car, but my dumbass of a friend didn’t believe me when I said to always fix the wheels, so here we are watching this video…

What a great Shell commercial. That being said. Science is science not matter if they are trying to sell gas or not. Have a turbo? Use premium. Full stop. No turbo? Buy normal gas.

Took my Toyota Tacoma in for service which was to rotate tires at 15000 mile checkup. (Been driving it three years.) The dealership could not rotate the tires because no wheel lock key in my truck. I only received two ignition keys at purchase three years ago. Did not even know what a wheel lock key was until this appointment. I had to order wheel lock key from the I.D. Lock Info card with my purchase package. One mechanic said to order a dozen of those. Another mechanic suggested changing those tires wheel locks out to regular lug nuts. ( I guessed they were joking.) First I had to order the wheel lock key to even get the tires off in the first place. I am eighty years old and do not want to have to keep up with some tiny item required to change a tire should I need one changed somewhere on the road or in a strange town. If a dealership could not remove a tire without a special tiny wheel lock key because they couldn't find one for it, how is anyone supposed to have one handy just for my vehicle. Once I get these wheels off, I am switching to regular lug nuts if that is a possibility to do so.

Bought this exact year from "The little old lady next door". Was 12 years old with 58,000 miles. Loaded to the gills. Hands down, the smoothest, most comfortable car I've ever owned. Absolutely trouble free up to 130k. Only sold it when the Mrs. decided "she didn't look cool" in it and bought a Chrysler Pacifica instead. Yes, she regretted it. Also had a 1980 way back when. Loved that one too. If ever I find another in good shape with low miles (latest production years...say 2009-2011) I will jump on it. Sublime, rugged and easy to maintain. LOVE them!!

Has a '84 Jetta. It was a demo GL model. with about 9,000 km on it. It had about 380.000 on it when it bit the dust. Overall it was a very solid, comfortable vehicle. I found it roomy enough and had a nice clean interior layout. The trunk was impressive size wise. I thought the Jetta looked pretty good and it was adequately powered. The automatic packed it in at about 240,000 km, and it had a few issues with plastic hose connections failing due to heat stress. I learned to replace the timing belt, electric window regulator, seals, axles, some suspension parts and brakes. Relatively easy to work on. Worst experience I had involved my having to replace the heater core which leaked coolant everywhere inside. Terrible smell. Had to re and re seats, carpeting, and entire dashboard to replace a 68.00 part. (I bought the most expensive core).
