"A Man Gets To Thinkin" From The American Icon, John Wayne's CAHILL, UNITED STATE MARSHAL (1973) Music : Elmer Bernstein | Lyrics : Don Black | Vocal : Charlie Rich A man gets to thinkin' When his kids are growin' He sees the years goin' But what's to be said A man gets to thinkin' He feels his mind wander He looks back to ponder The life that he's lived He thinks of the seasons He's wasted by not bein' there What good is a mem'ry That loved ones can't share A man gets to thinkin' Of days yet before him If time will ignore him He'll know what to do He'll stay close to you Till his thinkin' is through... My parents and grandparents on my moms side loved this music. We are Russian, Slovak, and Hungarian. We listened to Gypsy music as well. I'm Scottish, and German on my fathers side. I like this music at weddings and graduation parties. 😁
