I don't think people get probability. Only one in a hundred will have something bad happen, so it seems like good odds, but the impact can often be life destroying. Like motorcycle accidents in bali.

It's interesting to me as an Aussie to see the word 'billabong' (which is an aboriginal word) applied to a Balinese location. Makes me wonder if it was applied by tourists?
@Peleski
@Peleski 4 ай бұрын
IDK why it's called that. A billabong is a truncated river section. Nothing like this.

we did a Fly The Drake cruise in March. Quark did everything right. except hot chocolate. no one could make it right. it tasted like Windex and battery acid. 🤢🤮 but the rest of the cruise was great. 😍

I live in Zanzibar 3rd generation. I have travelled the whole wide world over 36 years ( on business and private ). Personally I find you very unfairly critical and repetitive. further more I would like to bring to your attention In Zanzibar you should pay in Tanzanian shillings or at worst dollars. I remind you Zanzibar is a melting pot and good food is available all over. Just as it is in south africa. Where in gods name on a touristic island do you get a gourmet dinner for 10 dollars? You seem to even bargain with Taxi Drivers. Do you know how much maintenance costs? Your opinion, for me is totally misleading and unfair. Cheap tourist looking to enjoy Paradise,

We are most definitely not 'cheap tourists' but we expect value for money. We don't pay $80 for a $50 taxi ride and see nothing wrong with negotiating with drivers. We have no regrets having visited Zanzibar, but there are some real issues it's tourism sector will have to grapple with going forward.
