I wouldn't say they 'Rebelled' , the whole song is about an army of abominations, a "Mix" between Demonic origins and their 'religious zealotry', they serve the 'light' using their unholy tendencies. However they are there to 'defend' humanity, using their religious zeal. Much like in the real world, Heaven, Humanity, and Hell are all separate and so they see themselves as defenders of humanity pulling traits from both heaven and hell. Basically think of it like a huge arc of plot that is implied. The song starts off with them rising up against the forces of hell as a legion to protect humanity, fighting along side them to purge the evil of the world with their very lives on the lines, rising over the dead of their fallen compatriots to make sure the demonic threat is purged because they are there to defend humanity...but here is the problem...they were lied to by Heaven The problem is that they are mixed blood, of both heaven and hell, the part of the song that goes "Hollow the damned in the art of salvation, Fallen and Banned, and the Angels die first" basically they are still defending "Humanity" and they are among those who DON'T get the salvation that was promised to them by the Liars in Heaven who used them to purge the demons, and so the "Servant in Life, and Elated in Eden, Cursed. Slaves in the light from beyond" they saw that the Damned who were used by heaven as a tool to remove the demons and oppress humanity from the other side by squashing the "Sacred Wonders" that Humanity created and was capable of for their own ideal. So the "Remedy" was that the Defenders of Humanity continue to do so, taking the fight to Heaven itself to kill the Angels who were depriving the damned of the salvation they had promised, so the make the "Sky fall in Treason, torn by the Liar's Intend" Basically the Cursed creatures and Humanity are both rising above Heaven and Hell to preserve their own existence. They are the ones who were betrayed, and so they defend Humanity, the one cause that hasn't betrayed them.
