Can you get a no bark collar for loud, constantly barking dogs? My cock is an orpington, it doesn't crow much, it only crows late morning.
@jeevasiva14753 ай бұрын
Where did you buy the collar? I found in amazon but people commented it is not working.

Roosters are so loud. I live on a little over 4 acres, and my neighbor several acres over just got a few roosters that are driving me insane! I can't sleep with my window open. They wake all the native birds up too early. I wish someone would figure out how to breed roosters that don't crow.

I accidentally got a rooster, he’s 5 months old, a Speckled Sussex, gorgeous!! Anyway, I just got a complaint from one of my neighbors. So yes I immediately began worrying that I have to get rid of him but he’s quieter than mine and my other neighbor’s 15 hens. I also want to hatch my own chicks and after watching your video and others, I think I’m keeping him. Thanks for giving me hope. Oh, and enjoy the Arizona winter. I lived in Phoenix for 9 years!! That heat is no joke!! Good luck to you!!

Did you keep them?
@kimlucero463023 күн бұрын
@@marthaindiana, No, I ended up giving him to one of my friends who lives in the country. He’s much happier there. Oh, and my hens are still louder than he was but no complaints about them.
@marthaindiana22 күн бұрын
@@kimlucero4630 oh OK at least you know where he is. I have one now and I can’t get him to shut up. He crows all morning long. But I don’t want to give him away. I want to keep him, the girls. My five hens absolutely love him and follow him everywhere.

How do you tell which eggs to incubate?
@girgriffin4902 Жыл бұрын
You can candle them after a few days. Basically, you can shine a light through the egg and you should be able to see a silhouette of a baby chick starting to form. You put them into the incubator to make sure the fertilized ones are started off, then any that are not fertilized, will not show signs of anything inside so you can remove them. Also, if you're incubating birds, you do want to rotate them daily. It's something the mother hen does naturally. The wide end is the air sac. Also, as tempted as you might be to help the emerging chick as it hatches, let it happen without interfering, if you can and make sure you have a warm dry place for the freshly hatched babies with food and water available. They can actually survive 24-48 hours just in the nutrition they got from the yolk, but once they do eat, they need access to both food and water and warmth constantly. It's Reptile eggs that shouldn't get rotated, btw. Jurassic Park got that one wrong.

I’m only going to b able to keep one because I can only have 12 chickens here by law which is not enough hens to go around. Aren’t chickens fun though! Thanks for the roster collar idea brother 🤜🤛 we're urban farming and already had the city try and tell us We couldn't have chickens so we butchered our roosters.... been 7-8 months now no problems with just our layers. Payed $50 for a dozen fertilized eggs! No more of that now, looking forward to keeping our rosters. Thank you, God bless 🙏

We had some rooster drama today when I put collars on our 3 boys- lots of running backwards mayhem!
@chickendad562 Жыл бұрын
It happens 🤷🏽♂️ that’s just how it goes. There’s gonna be plenty of backwards walking for the first few hours. Just make sure they’re still moving and not just sitting there lifeless with their neck to the ground! In my opinion if they’re doing that for too long, that could mean something bad. But don’t get discouraged if they’re walking backwards, that’s a natural reaction! They’ll get used to it

@@chickendad562does your city allow you to even have chickens and roosters? Where I live in California, they won’t let me legally have them on my property. Also, I wonder if this collar would work on hens too. 🤔

Hey brother, please reply. I tried putting 3 Velcro together and then put it on the bottom of the neck. I can fit my pinky and it’s not working. Is there anything I can try? My rooster neck is long. He’s shamo 😊
@chickendad562 Жыл бұрын
Yeah brah go a lil tighter then! I wouldn’t put any more Velcro if you’ve already got 3 on him. In the states i bought mine at about 3 inches wide. I don’t know where you’re at but if it’s wider than 3 inches on his neck I wouldn’t go any wider.

Dude, may I suggest something? When someone search for certain subjects and/or tutorials on KZbin channels, they do not care to be listening to music tunes, funny cartoons, or unnecessary extra talking of non-sense subjects. If you want your channel to grow with audience, perhaps you should consider being more dedicated to the subject of your channel "Checkendad" and avoid all that extra stuff you are adding to your videos. I came to your channel to learn how to keep my roosters from crowing, not to be listening to Louis Amstrong or to watching cartoon shows. Be realistic and you will see your channel growing rather fast. At the end of the day, it is your option to accept suggestion for improvement.
