Stoney has great musicians playing in his band currently and I’m not taking anything away from them at all, HOWEVER in my humble opinion in the link is the best band lineup he’s ever had. kzbin.info/www/bejne/iorWcqmbbd-DjLs Back in those days they just rocked the hell out, without a bunch of this crazy oddball guitar effects etc. maybe he’s just getting older and slowed down on the rocket fueled concerts of the old days and changed up his approach and sound in later years. I must have gone to about 20 of those shows back in the 09-12 era. He will always remain one of my favorite Tx country guys.

Stoney, your song was chosen by my fiance and I to be his celebration of life song... He was a pilot and the words were just so fitting... It's a daily listen for me now, I was a city mouse but I've grown to love country music and especially that song. I love the "I'll call on you, when I find the time, and I promise I'll wave, wave goodbye." His favourite flying was float flying over water so the song just makes so much sense to me. I just wanted to let you know that your song gets me through my worst days. Devin was a huge fan of you. ✈️💙
