I have fogging issue on my ace pro 2 i use it as a motovlov and my speed is only 30-kmph normal days I'm from Philippines. Video recording 2.7k frms video duration less than an hour every time the camera heat and there's a wind only mild wind the lens has fog. What should i do?

I got mine last Tuesday from BestBuy, and cannot replicate the fog issue. I did have this problem on my first Osmo Action and the fix was easy, open the battery cover and record until the camera got hot, the moisture evaporated and it escaped via the open door, solved.

I think your hypothesis about processing the face for smoothness may be a good one.

Great video. Very helpful. Still seeing lots of micro jitters in the background and the footage looks blurry/out of focus around you. There was no detail, like when you were asking about your whiskers being sharp it really wasn’t. It’s looks like a very low definition recording. The more I see of the ace pro 2 footage the less impressive it seems. Certainly nothing like their promo videos. Makes you wonder why it went “out of stock” almost instantly and why insta have been so quiet about it. Surely if they sold out they’d be raving about it and we’d be seeing hundreds of user videos. Up til now it’s been KZbinrs who were sent a camera by insta.

I bought the Ace Pro about a couple weeks ago and did a "first impressions video" and wasn't blown away by the footage so I picked up the Action 5. The Action 5 seems much more in focus on faces but also more sharp. I have some more testing I'm going to do but the build quality on the Ace is much better. The USB door on the Action 5 doesn't inspire confidence that it will make it through a snorkeling session. There are some small KZbinrs showing that and I can confirm the issue. Even if it doesn't cause a real issue, it's just cheap feeling.

I don't think the lens does ever fog up the problem with this camera has been it's minimum focus distance which is said to be 37cm but at anything up to about 75cm'ish people have not been in proper focus, the camera's true minimum focus distance is about 1 metre and many KZbinrs who reviewed this camera said the same it cannot focus proerly at close distance like the DJI Action 5 Pro can. I emailed Insta360 about this making them aware of this serious problem and the next day it was removed from sale on their website. I don't know whether it was my email to them informing them or maybe they saw the reviews on KZbin and saw a lot of people were having the same probkem. The way to tell is, is the background actually more in focus and sharp than your face at arms length. Some people who viewed the videos on their phone said it's fine but come on, on a 6.7" screen? I can see it perfectly on my calibrated 65" 4k tv. If Insta360 don't fix this issue it won't be good enough for vloggers who handhold the camera at arms length. On your video too you can clearly see the tree at the side of your car is more in focus than your face and so is the back seat of your car. That shows that the focus distance on your Ace Pro 2 still isn't perfect. When you're sat on the chair with your cooker off to your right and off to the left in the video you can see the wall behind you is slighly more focused than your face. Oh and there's no such thing as facial metering there's matrix, centre weighted and spot metering. The reason you probably think it was face metering is because your face was in the centre of the frame where centre weighted metering is located.

I am a 63 year old woman and I am ready to change out my solenoids as soon as they arrive from eBay Motors. Without a diagnostic tool can you simply unclip one of the clamps on the battery for a minute to reset the engine light?
