Oh Harry, that's so ugly... Modric played as CM in 4-4-2 in Croatia national team for 2 years before signing for Tottenham, including 2 matches against England in 2008 Euro qualifiers... please stop stealing Slaven Bilic's credits :)

The appearance money and win bonus was more than your basic. We need to get back to that. What a difference that would make in the game.

Harry was a good manager but Modric played for Dinamo and Croatia in central of midfield the whole time. Even when Croatia beat England on Wembley 2007. Modric came to spurs 2008

Considering how much he hated the British establishment and racists It does seem a bit out of character Sometimes People do things more out of necessity and their job than anything else And he did also give piers the “advice” of charging Brett Lee

he wouldn't have had bowlers in the 70s lol. He would have been facing balls in the 50s and 60s. Bowlers over 70mph would be playing in a higher league than him.

Even in village cricket they will sometimes use a ringer who plays in a county second XI team, so it isn't totally out of the question that he might occasionally faced some quickish bowling. League cricket, especially in the north is semi-professional, and you don't play in those unless you know what you're doing. So, having given him the benefit of the doubt, he played those deliveries like an absolute muppet, backing away so far that he was getting tangled in the netting, so he probably made it all up anyway.
@relevantbrother8964
@relevantbrother8964 Жыл бұрын
@@jshaers96 the way he was playing Lee suggests that he's never faced 85mph bowling..Lee wasnt as quick at this stage as his peak ..probably high 130s here or low 140s.
@jshaers96
@jshaers96 Жыл бұрын
@@relevantbrother8964 I doubt that he has faced much more than low-to-mid 70s. He didn't have a clue what he was doing and was very lucky that he wasn't more seriously injured as we wasn't watching the ball and was only interested in backing away, which is the best way to get hit.
@mfm386

@@relevantbrother8964 I don't think Lee was bowling off a full run either. And I also don't think he was wearing spikes.
