The french actor David Belle. He was the guy in the movie District B13 who was doing all the funky parkour stuff. He is considered the founder of parkour. Jackie is doing incredible stuff but thats not parkour.. Thats just stunts without safety equipment.

Jackie Chan broke his leg and was in a wheelchair doing the first stunt you see here -- jumping from one building into another building's window. He was fearless. Of course, eventually the injuries and age piled up, so he started using stunt doubles, but he still often did some of his own stunts. He was a legend. Love his old Shaw Run Run gong fu movies.

By most of his films, you can see that it's true, thanks to all the bloopers at the end.. he broke all his bones in his body... And you didn't show the clip from the movie "Who am I"who was filmed in Rotterdam, The Netherlands..

Firstly, GO THE STANG! Secondly, damn! You've captured quite a lot of story and emotion in only two minutes and sixteen seconds. I'd be excited to see more of you dipping your toe in "the cinematic side". Awesome video dude.

I am 48 years old! We called us „ninja 4“ when we were 10 years old. We played “don’t touch the ground” We did parkour 🤷♂️ We tried to do the same stunts like Jackie the whole time. Jumping from tree to tree from walls to walls from roofs to roofs and more! We invented parkour, we called it Jackie Chan stunts 😅

I've heard that he broke every bone in his body, at least once, during his life, and that if he doesn't stretch every single day, the pain is unbelievable. Don't know if it's actually true, though.

There is no such thing as “the p word”, just Jacky Chan. He invented this 30 years before it had a name, therefore it’s Jackie Chan.
@Đờimitry22 күн бұрын
Barkour what? The French coined the word but didnt mean they invented it. Jackie Chan been doing stunts like " barkour" decades before it.

Jackie was such a genius. He kind of followed in the footsteps of Buster Keaton and Harold Lloyd. A lot of his movies are genuinely funny, and he was kind of the opposite of Bruce Lee, never invincible, and able to be hurt. It's interesting how so many of the stunts he pioneered making use of urban landscape, and furniture would become forerunners of Parkour - though that's just what he was often doing.

That tree miss injury also left him with a hole in the head, I think. Important to take into account the fails and outtakes as well, such as jumping through that metal ladder - amazing in a different way he continued to try those stunts after injury to make the shot.

He did a documentary style explanation on his stunts and fights once where he mentioned using "movie glass" which I think is made of sugar

Dude, I've been watching Chan do his stuff since the late 70's. As much as we try and emulate him Jackie was and is on another level, above all the rest and so called best. So we're talking at least 50 years ago.
