The first Johnny Van Zandt band album the debut album no more dirty deals was good but not great then after that, the rest of them were flops even brickyard Road yeah he did the tribute about his brother in the song, which is all well and sweet, but basically the album sucked That’s why he had to do something and he was lucky. He got offered the tribute tour because he sure wasn’t hell going anywhere with his solo stuff even today just making money off of his brothers songs even if you go and are willing to pay the money to go see this so-called Lynyrd Skynyrd band From people, I know that have went say all they do is the old songs whatever the last time I saw them was when Leon and Billy were still alive with Huey Thomson on guitar and I swore I would never pay a dime to go see them after that Owen Hale was on drums and was a more solid pocket drummer, who could still whale when he wanted not some flashy ass punk like Michael Cortaleone that’s my story and I’m sticking to it. Also, that’s my opinion and I’m sticking to it.

You are so amazing, to give up your band to keep the best guitar players and The Best Band Ever. It was the work of Mr. Ronnie Vanzant Family you and the rest. I have a few things that I have a album with The Lynyrd Skynyrd band signed, Second Helping at Altamonte springs FL. October 17 1977 ! Thy were Promoting Street Survivers and I wanted to putt a Y in it. I Love Lynyrd Skynyrd and the Vanzant Family ❤😂😊

I have to say, I never had a particular like for MH, but I was serving in the marines and they did a base show on 4th of July. Everyone had gone home, there were Maybe 100 in the crowd. Molly hatchet went ape shit and gave it their all. Dude was climbing the light towers and ever thing. They played like there was 1000000 people there. Rock on Molly!!!!!

Anaheim CA 79" Lynyrd Skynyrd, Molly Hatchet, 38 Special & Blackfoot. With the first two bands alternating headline spots. On the infield, kick'en up dust. Heat, sweat, beer & ass shaking girls. The crowd refused to let Molly Hatchet leave the stage. I've never seen or heard so much energy released in one place, I thought I felt the stadium start to crack as the second level bleachers began to sway. Sonic & hypnotic, beat down & fully exhausted. If you didn't already have their album, you were at the record store buying it the next day. An experience of a life time!

I came to see races here all the time as a kid (Was 9 when this was shot.) I thought it was so awesome that my home town had its own track. Me and my dad would come to the races all the time. I vividly remember everything, even the chicken tenders that I'd get from the concessions. My dad was friends with one of the drivers named Grady Lindquist. Such good times, and I'm still not over what happened to the track. I wish it was still there.

Cant believe this knucklehead when mentioning blackfoots early influences neglected to mention the Allman bros band their 1st album came out in 1969 Blackfoot started 1969... The ABb had been burning up those clubs in Fla,GA ect years b4 blackfoot made it!!! Who u think influenced all dem Jacksonville boys to play slide guitar???? Duane Allman if u search the web u find Gary rosington talkn bout duane teachn slide bits to him.the Allman Brothers bar none were the beginning of southern rock the originators of it Also during the mid 60s don felder of the eagles ran into duane in daytona where he learned slide guitar also!! Don felder gave Tom Petty guitar lessons during this time in central Florida we have alot of music heritage in Fla ppl dig that
