Omg, so among other things, this "debate" is about the same conflict we see in proponents VS opponents of neurodiversity: that there is a natural, ideal state of human bodies, and any deviation from that state is necessarily a "disorder," whether it's autism or inability to get pregnant.

“Bleeding glitter” sounds so gay. 😂😂😂😂 I can’t believe she said this was MIDNIGHT BLUE. It’s clearly a lavender/lilac purple color. Midnight blue is SUCH a different color. Then she says “it’s supposed to be blue” like she knows damn well that it’s not 😂😂😂😂

I am very pro Gaylor reading of TS but I heard “the lips I used to call home” completely differently. Not like “I used to call your lips home” But “I used my lips to call home” Instead of “used to” as a phrase for “a thing I did in the past” I heard used to as past tense of “use to.” And I always heard it as she was talking anout her own lips being red (since it’s pretty much her signifier.”) I tried to explain this to someone once and they said I was stretching but I’m not.. it’s literally an issue with the fact that the word choice of “used to” being able to be correctly interpreted in two different ways. So for example if she was talking about her own phone and said “the phone I used to call him,” I think we’d know she didn’t call the phone home, but that she’s saying she uses her phone to call home. Hope this makes sense. Lol.

We get the same exact kind of hateful comments for suggesting that two fictional characters are gay/in love. (Dean Winchester and Castiel) (And then they say we are toxic while they call us sick, twisted, Delusional etc) People who definitely have less English comprehension than us says that we are “stupid,” because we understand English better than they do. (“Implying is not the same as explicitly stating for example, lol)
@ultravioletpisces3666Ай бұрын
36:19 “being in love” I mean, it’s not that it’s a lie it’s just an impartial truth. It IS about love… but a specific type of love (sapphic) Gay love IS love… but people take “it means being in love” to mean “being in heterosexual love” because of heteronormativity. The assumption is that if you don’t say “its about gay love” then it must be heterosexual, or must refer to ALL love.
@ultravioletpisces3666Ай бұрын
I thought La Fou being gay was so obvious but my neighbor was like, “he’s not gay.” I was like… huh??

38:49 I think “weird” is sometimes used sort of specifically against gay people. Like being gay is “weird” and being normal is “normal.” And to many homophobia’s “gay is weird” and “weird is gay.”

It’s so weird when people think it’s ok to interpret her lyrics (as one does with music) but *not that way*
@ultravioletpisces3666Ай бұрын
21:55 “that theory is a little weird,” you gotta read “The seven husbands of Evelyn Hugo,” lol… there is a similar plot point. I think that would be weird for normal people but people who have publicist and studios controlling their every moves, it’s not by far the weirdest thing lol

When I want to skate around or not directly state my (latent?) bisexuality, I say “I don’t identify as LGBT.” Note the word “identify”… like I’ve been in LGBT spaces where i feel like… I don’t want to presume to speak for the LGBT, but also saying “as a straight woman,” feels dishonest so the best I can come up with is, “I don’t identify as LGBT, however I support gay rights,” or whatever the rest of the sentence is. (Or when, people are qualifying with their sexuality and I don’t feel prepared to say “I’m straight” OR “I’m not straight,” I say “I don’t identify,” as I am not “OUT” so I literally don’t identify myself that way… doesn’t mean I’m not.

Fun fact: Redefining 'normal' as 'far right' to conceal the fact that you're a bunch of pushovers does not change reality. A rock is still hard even if you call it a pillow. People are tired of this obvious agenda, it's gone on too long and just keeps getting more and more dumb. You want to act like you're such a good person but you just spent hours and hours of time trying to remove the dignity of a man who simply doesn't think every asshole who puts on a wig magically becomes a woman.

Sex is binary, there are chromosomal variations within each sex, as mutations and etc.exist.All “intersex” conditions, when examined, clearly arise from single-gene mutations or chromosomal aberrations on a genetic background that would have indisputably been producing male or female gametes had these mutations not occurred, and, rarely, due to chimerism (i.e. individuals made up of both male and female cells).Biological sex reflects two distinct evolutionary strategies to produce offspring: the female strategy is to produce few large gametes and the male strategy is to produce many small (and often motile) gametes. This fundamental definition is valid for all sexually reproducing organisms. Humans are not hermaphrodites and they don’t produce type 3 gametes, so there is no 3rd sex in any case. Even intersex people are intersex male or intersex female. For example, a woman with Swyer syndrome is an intersex female. Despite the fact that she has male chromosomes, she is still an intersex female, the presence of a genetic mutation does not cause the creation of a new sex. Or intersex males who outwardly look like females and outwardly appear to have a vagina. In fact, they simply do not have sensitivity to testosterone, they still have male reproductive system, there is nothing of the female reproductive system inside their bodies. Outwardly woman, in fact male, intersex male.There are a lot of examples. If people were hermaphrodites or if there were a 3rd type of gametes, then it would be 3rd sex, but for humans this is not the case. The fact that 0.018% of people have more varied development of some sexual characteristics due to medical conditions/disorders/mutations does not change the rule. It is not the vagina/penis, not XY/XX, etc. that accurately determine sex, but gametes.The presence of ovotestis in humans is also not even close to proof that the sex spectrum. Since in humans, ovotestis is a disorder associated with gonadal dysgenesis. We belong to mammals and the only mammals for which ovotestis is not a disorder are moles, for them this is a normal condition, but not for humans. The correct conclusion is that we say that sex is binary, and sexual characteristics are a spectrum. Sex and sexual characteristics are two different concepts

Matt Walsh's question was always "simple" in that it used few words. It isnt complex enough to satisfy answering in the same brief nature as it is asked. An adult human female - being hos prefered answer needs all three definitions expanded to even meet medical or legal standards. Adult, post-puberty. Human, homosapien sapien. Female, socially recognized as displaying both typical genotype and phenotype of XX. He is purposefully excluding trans and intersex from his discussion because he believes the inability to display femininity (or its societal opposite) invalidates one or both of the other two claims. I.e. if youre not post-puberty, youre a child, thus no rights. If youre not female, youre male. Lastly, if youre not human, you don't have rights. Matt Walsh wants his viewers to take away a final point he wont say out loud: Not being easily genetically boxed as female or male, or failure to display female or male phenotypical appearance means youre either not an adult or not human. Eitherway, no rights afforded.

Here’s the thing, all of my reasons for thinking Taylor is queer is not a single relationship she has had. It’s her work. The things she publicly has released and put into her work. She’s either straight washing queer history (if this is the case, gross. Major ick.) or She’s queer flagging. All of the hetlor comments of “delusional” “crazy” “toxic” etc. are ignorant and homophobic. They clearly know nothing about queer history (hasinabi not having any clue that lavender is a gay color is the perfect example) and have never taken the time to read TS lyrics.
