I love Dwarves Are Young And Good Looking, came out between 94 to 96 i think, it's still hard but it definitely starts to get poppy in that record. It's their best record. The thing about about what you're saying is this. Bands want to evolve and make albums that sound a little different than what came before rather than just make the same record over and over. It becomes monotonous and people don't want to buy new records from you if you do this. I don't have any reason to listen to anything beyond the first two or three Screeching Weasel records because I know what I'm going to get. I love the way that musicians/bands evolve and change (there's usually one, sonwtimes two core members of any band that determine this) and change their sound. Of course you don't have to listen to the stuff you don't like and there's always somebody out there doing what you do like or has already done it.
