I forget if it was Brian or Dennis who said it, but they described their baby brother Carl’s voice as “the voice of an angel”, and nowhere is that more evident than in this song. Goosebump city every time I hear this one.

He's got the bass vocals at the end. Timewise, not a big part of the song, but content-wise, the song wouldn't have been the same without it.

@@MrKaywyn SPOT ON ! I've said it for years that this song had the potential to be a top 5 if only that ending wasn't flat as a pancake. If they pivoted back to the chorus and and faded out it would have ended in such an upbeat tone. Why did he sabotage it is my question?

No, bad camera work. If you know their voices, the camera is on the wrong singer. Pay close attention to Carl, Alan, and Bruce. Learn their voices. Ignore when the camera shows Mikey, he doesn't matter. Carl and Alan do. Alan is hitting the HIGH Falsetto notes. (Can't do it now, neither can I.) Carl is hitting the high Tenor stuff, and doing it better than I can, even though that is my range. Bruce is MUCH better than Mikey, at the lower tenor stuff. Bruce is better than Mikey, at EVERYTHING! steve
@whiteandright1958 Жыл бұрын
@@steveskouson9620 no. You do not understand music at all. This is the Beach Boys lip synching to a prerecorded vocal track over the actual instrumental track.
