I’m only joking 😂. It’s actually a really nice engine. But I can see why some people wouldn’t be a fan 😂

@ yes it’s definitely not everyone cuppa tea but it’s been designed quite well. One boiler but steam comes out of the Back chimney as it connects to the steam exhaust port on the cylinders.

@ very clever design.

1:44 'the fires just died'. Not a criticism or negative comment, but maybe due to the fact that you started putting fresh coal onto the fire (which would have cooled it down) as soon as you pulled away and opening the blower (which just wastes more steam) certainly wouldn't have helped.
@ollieking50534 ай бұрын
It was more of the fact the water was left on and first time driving that engine for a while so didn’t remember how much it likes. For a small loco it’s surprisingly hungry. In terms of the blower, I was told to leave it cracked to help it draw as such a small engine means it doesn’t draft as well. It was about a year ago as well which doesn’t help much as I have learned significantly more and had a lot more experience hence why I’m now driving beautiful locomotives such as the merchant.

A miniature marvel of engineering and truly beautiful! I remember seeing her full size version many times at Eastleigh works and on the mainline. Thank you for sharing your ride with. A question….I’m intrigued as to where the loco was running. Is it in Southampton…I thought I recognised… the river in the background? Thanks again for an excellent video. Rob in Bournemouth.

@@atlanticcoastexpress Hi Rob, Thanks for the feedback and amazing that you saw the real locomotive. Yes it’s the Southampton track in Bitterne park Southampton and we have been operating since the 1960s. Kind regards, Ollie

Thought I would share that she isn’t just going away for winter but her tires are being replaced as the flanges are very worn this will allow bunny to be a more consistent and reliable runner however there is a decent amount of work to be done so may take a while
