I've been looking to replace Audacity. Reaper sounds useful... Can it record multiple tracks from multiple sources at once?

I'm using a mic with phantom power and the clip light appears to come on solid when I press the SOLO button on the channel master? That said, and if I depress the SOLO button, the mic no longer registered on the VU meters and appears to loose all of its gain? - that said, I'm confused as to why or how this is intended to work in this case, or am I doing something wrong with my setup?

11:00 maybe demonstrate what you mean re bringing up the faders after it's dialed in with peak. are you still just monitoring the peak light?

i've got a dr05 and for basic seated interview looking to add two table mics (or two lapel mics if good sound given flexibility/portability). if i hear you right, you go line-out 0-parity from mic mixer > line-in on dr05 and get great audio (with low cut, peak, etc). can you use it as a DI while streaming ex your setup but output audio via usb port into a stream app on a laptop (or android)?

As someone who works full time in the live event business behind a mic, I really appreciate that you said ‘in my normal life I’m a terrible speaker.. I slur, etc..’ I tell people this often about myself 😂

That was really educational. Never really knew about gain staging.

I tried using channels 5-8 for an additional mic and was not getting a signal at all. Is there any button that is needed to be pushed that I missed?

An awesome walkthrough and video. 😄👍👍 Just out of curiosity, if you don’t mind my my asking what cable do you run out of the mixer into the Tascam in order to get the level/metre readings to appear on the screen? 🔌🔴🤔💭 Also, again if you don’t mind my asking how do you enable the limiter in order to ensure that your audio never clips/distorts/piques? 🗣🎙🎤🤔💭

really super happy I found your video! It's hard finding vocal warm-ups for anything else but singing and as a beginning letsplayer with a rather iffy voice, I'm SO happy to have found this! Your advice is solid and really helps me make sure I don't wreck my voice while doing my recordings. Thank you so much!!

I remember carts. We carted everything, music, spots, promos, jingles, news bytes, everything... Back in the days when we were still spinning vinyl and back timing to the net! Sound Byte is a great digital cart machine and well worth the money!

Many thanks for these videos. Just taken delivery of a QX1204USB so although I found out as much as I could beforehand, this got me up to speed very quickly. Little tip, for ease of access, I used an old laptop stand I had to raise the back of the mixer up, possibly far cheaper than a 'pro music' version

Hey, thank you very much for the video! Quick question, where did you find it for 5 dollars? On the website pricing starts at 39$ and goes up to 149$! Which is crazy for a simple app like that

Do you have a video where you do the warm up without the explanations. Its very good to know the reasons behind doing certain things. I would use a video where you just do the warm up so we can press play and do it along with you. I enjoyed this video very much. Im new to podcasting my show is Oor Wee Podcast

What is a "bed"? And will you be doing a Putting It All Together, Part 2? This is just what I need to see. I like it when you just videotape your live broadcast while you're doing it. I wonder if you could videotape a show and then annotate it with arrows and text boxes to say what it is that you're doing as your hands fly from one thing to another. OR if there were some way to contact you, could I pay you for 30 minutes of your time for a video call tutorial?

These videos are EXTREMELY helpful. I'd like to be able to do phone interviews. Would you be able to show how to do that both with setting up the hardware (using cell phone, Google Voice, or Skype / mix-minus)?

Hey there. great video! I have a behringer xenix x1222 USB and I'm apparently challenged on how to be able to have me and my guest hear ourselves in the headphones, and have the microphones recording into garage band at the same time. Any advice or directions for a video on how to figure this out hehe thanks :)
