Their rates are pretty high for one night. But definitely worth it. We got it cheaper on booking.com for 14,500 something like that

I actually just showed up and they charged me 1000 Kenyan shillings. It’s easy when you are in Zanzibar, don’t book in advance.

No you don’t have to. You only need your yellow fever, ID and a negative covid test within 96 hours. They also offer testing at the border.

Victoriah Nyambura njogu if it’s generally going to Tanzania, you can take Modern Coast but I would highly Advice you travel with Tahmeed bus. It is more comfortable. For commuting inside Zanzibar I’d say the price difference between using the public transport and private is big. The public transport is very affordable even though uncomfortable.

I’d say per person 45K per person (5k transport from Nairobi and back, 10K transport costs to navigate between TZ and Zanzibar, accommodation cost is about 3-4K a night so a week = 21-28k) and food was affordable because we ate local so we spent a total 7k per person for food during the whole trip. Food in Zanzibar is affordable though it becomes pricey especially if you want to try eating at Forodhani Gardens and or in the hotels). The rest of the money was spent on experiencing places and buying things.

It takes about 8-9 hours. You have to be there by 7:00 a.m to 3:00 p.m or 4:00 p.m. to fully enjoy the park. It's very large.

If you are a Kenyan or from any East African country, you only need a passport that will enable you to cross the border and if you don't have one, you can use your National ID and acquire a pass from Huduma centre or any immigration office.

@@UnpopularAfrican have been to Kampala and in Kampala we have many forex shops where one can easily change kenya shillings to Ugandan do we have the same in TZ? Or where do one change the currency apart from using VISA card??
