Hi I’m new to your channel I would like if you do tutorial for rasons. I’m very interested

Thanks for watching! I'm new to resin and thought that people would like to learn with me. I also purchase a lot of my supplies from Temu because it is so cheap.

I always turn my packets from Temu inside out when I’ve emptied them, because I find sometimes little items tend to get caught in the corners!
@CraftWhim2024Ай бұрын
I try to check the corners if I am missing anything. I feel that they could do a little better on their packaging, but I'm not sure how much of it is Temu and how much of it is the customs workers going thru it.

I get cutting dies, stickers and ephemera from Temu 😊

I usually purchase craft stuff because it is so cheaply priced. I have purchased 2 shirts just to see the quality. One ran small, but it was pretty, the other one what a sweatshirt that was true to size.

You did a great job of instructing and I’m definitely going to do some myself. Thank you so much 🤗🤩🇨🇦

Temu always put bigger pictures I ordered a mould looked big on photo when it came it was smaller than my hand and with temu moulds they don’t last long u get a few items I’ve gone back to amazon or shein a lot better I’ve been doing resin for 10 years temu cheap but don’t last long
@CraftWhim20244 ай бұрын
I have noticed that and it is discouraging. So far, my molds are holding up, but I have noticed a difference between them and molds that I have gotten from Let's Resin. Thank you for the comment.

Why you doing that it's easier by hand than dealing with that trash
@CraftWhim20244 ай бұрын
I thought that I would give it a try. So far, I have mixed results, some batchs come out with a lot of bubbles and some don't. Thank you for your comment.
@AllysonWonderlandOfResin4 ай бұрын
That’s only causing so many bubbles because u used such a small cup & it didn’t allow the paddles to get fully submerged beneath the resin. It is incorporating a ton of air into ur resin. U shouldn’t have that experience if u use a larger/taller mixing cup & amount of resin so the paddles are fully submerged. I do not have this exact machine, but I do have an automatic mixer that rests on a stand & has an A/I feature to shut itself off after 4 min. Several resin artist’s that have the same mixer have explained in their videos that u won’t get added bubbles as long as u have the paddles beneath surface of the resin & don’t lift them out while it’s mixing up the resin. Hopefully this will help u in the future if u decided to keep this machine. Hate to see anyone feel disappointed by a tool that can save us so much time/trouble having to mix by hand for 3-6 minutes. Thank u 4 sharing ur review!
@CraftWhim20244 ай бұрын
Thank you for the comment. I have been using it everytime that I mix resin, and yes, it has worked better and had less bubbles when I have a fuller cup. I also have a bubble removing machine that I use now and it helps quite a bit.

@@CraftWhim2024 That’s awesome, yeah I think everyone has their own prerogative & tool preferences, that they find helpful. Every resin will react differently & will vary due to multiple factors so find what works best for u & whatever bubbles don’t pop u can spritz with 99% alcohol or use heat to eliminate a majority. Spraying ur mold with alcohol immediately b4 casting will help a great deal as well. Thank you for taking time to reply, it’s much appreciated.

I have many Dollar Store molds, and I like them a lot. Seems like the molds are not too deep. You just used too many drops of ink. UV resin is different from epoxy - the ink dilutes the resin. I normal hit the light for 2 minutes, then flip it over for another minute. That usually does the trick. Perhaps you should try it again.
@CraftWhim20245 ай бұрын
Thanks for the tip! I will try that.
@FaithsResincreations5 ай бұрын
I believe your resin was to deep. You need to do layers.
@CraftWhim20245 ай бұрын
Thank you for the comment. I was thinking that it was too deep too. The mold seems deep for jewlery.

Love the molds, I’ll have to run to my Dollar Tree to see if they have them. I never use heat on my molds to pop bubbles, I spritz with alcohol, it works great and doesn’t ruin your molds.

I have heard if you put the mold on top of a mirror it will help it cure a little better if the mold is a little thicker. If the resin gets too hot i will throw a fan on it while the lights on. Works better and no waves. I just bought this mold today. Wish i would have gotten the other now. Dang it! O well gives me an excuse to go back... As if we need an excuse.. lol Ty for checking it out for us!

Ya and if it gets to hot it will distort the mold it will warp from the heat
@CraftWhim20245 ай бұрын
Thank you. I was thinking that it might have been too hot too. I used the lighter and then used the UV lamp, so I am thinking that's why it flashed cured

I haven't tried coasters yet, but I did make a couple of things after I made this video with that resin. I'm still on the fence about it. Not sure how I like it yet. Thanks for watching and thanks for the comment!

The paw turned out pretty interesting. The keychain letters were pretty cool. Maybe try mixing the bare minerals into to some resin and see what you get?
@CraftWhim20247 ай бұрын
I am going to try that. I only have a couple of shades of eyeshadow to use, the rest of what I have is fondation powder and blush. Thanks for watching my video!
@denisestich87317 ай бұрын
From Bare Minerals website: Do BareMinerals have a shelf life? If unopened, our products have a two-year shelf life. Once you have opened it, you should use it within one year. This is because the natural minerals separate and could become discolored after that time.Nov 28, 2023 So using it in resin should be fine.
@daniellemorris81707 ай бұрын
I like them. Also, an fyi in case you arent aware, adding a drop or two of glue in your resin will stop the glitter from sinking. Happy crafting :)
