Just last night I was tracking my McNamara ancestors (mother's side). Several of these towns, like Skibereen were their homes. Was this a place that had a lot of protests? These relatives appear to have been arrested for assault. They came here during the famine.

Thanks for this! So many of my ancestors either came through Cork and I think of it as a sad place. I see now how devastated they were to be forced to leave this beautiful place.
