The forest in the video was the scene of the "Battle of Halbe" between Germany and the USSR shortly before the end of the Second World War. Many of the fallen soldiers are still lying there. The losses amount to around 10,000 civilians and 50,000 soldiers on both sides. Remains of the deceased are still found and buried there today. The older gentleman at the end of the song is Reinhard Mey himself, he wrote the song in the mid-80s when the Cold War threatened to get really hot again. Greetings from Germany!

They sounded pretty good, even though the mixing is off. The drums were drowning out the vocals, especially the cimbals.

Watching this was like watching Caitlin Clark in the WNBA shooting swishes from 40 ft. This was one highlight after another. Very touching and heartfelt reaction! I agree, it's so powerful that parents are singing it, protecting their kids. I think it was composed in the 80s, when there was still the draft for young men in Germany.

The collaboration of these two artists is truly genius.. Stjepan and Dimash.. stunning! Dimash sings like a god and Stjepan plays like he rules the world.. and they very well may. This performance is a time warp that stops time and sends me back to when I first heard Dimash sing "SOS" in 2017. I will never forget it.. it is etched in my mind forever. And may they live forever.. God bless them.
