What’s even the point of this from the Maye owners perspective? You trade away an elite asset for what? A 30 year old WR2? A future 1st? The only thing that’s good in the 26 class is the QBs so at best you get to fill a hole with that pick that only exists by getting rid of Maye. What a terrible trade that you should accept immediately before they realize how bad it is

I did that in a 10 team startup before the 2023 season. I had a few players, Herbert, Kyler, 18th round Puka Nacua. I ended up with 12 of the 20 first round picks in 2024 and 2025. 6 each year. I didn’t get any great offers for them last year and I made all those picks. Which was great bc it was a loaded class. I got all my QB’s and WR’s plus Bowers. This year, if there’s no great offers, I’ll get all my RB’s and I’m set to dominate the next decade. I never planned on tanking that startup. Folks just started throwing their 1st and 2nd rounders at me. Too much value to turn down.

Don’t think it was a “fleece”, a starting QB, WR1, ‘26-1st are all pretty good assets if you wanted to move them individually. I like Maye+2.03 more myself

@ production carries value too, not just age. No doubt production in a 24 year old is worth more but you can’t discard what he’s done. With a young QB and zero competition, he still worth quite a bit.

People actually watch football I’ve seen more from Penix in 3 games than I have from purdy in 3 years plus Purdy hasn’t been signed long term still some risk there.. talent difference easy to see and situations are both solid I’d rather have Penix
