I'll tell you what. Paul Gascoigne, Mark Hateley, Ally McCoist and Brian Laudrup. Richard Gough, Chris Woods, Terry Butcher, Davie Robertson, , Peter Van Vossen, Charlie Miller. Member when the twins joined this party? Ronald De Boer and Frank. Imagine is you drop Jorge Alberts into this mix. The Hammer was a phenom. He was the Undertaker of Scottish Football.

What was the first game vs Arsenal? Doesn't look like Old Trafford or Highbury, and can't find any record of a Blackmore goal against Arsenal other than in the League Cup in 1990 (and it isn't that goal)...

Number 1. Some will argue Brian Laudrup. Who also has mythical god status in Glasgow and rightly so. Gazza had something different. He is one of us. A True Blue. Paul Gascoigne will always have a special place in the hearts of all Rangers supporters.

@@JohnBanana935 Im from the falls road and grew up a man united fan, but i remember bantering mates who obviously were celtic fans about gazza cos i do think he was world class. An absolute nutcase but a genius. In terms of natural talent, I think he's up there as one of the best english players ever, he wasnt greedy, he was strong, fast, skillful, creative, took pens, free-kicks, i just think its so sad, like george best and some others that he had terrible addictions to battle. Cheers for answering pal, his podcast chat with linekar and shearer is worth watching! 🙂

I think Gazza played his best and enjoyed his football most at Rangers. It's where he felt loved and will always be a legend at the club. 🎉

If he played in the midern game he would be up there with Messi as one of the best ever. The way footballers are looked after both mentally and physically by clubs these days he wouldnt of got into the troubles off the pitch that he did

What a load of shite . Scotland has some of the highest attendances in football per capita in Europe . Even more so back in the 90’s crowds were even bigger . Back then the actual difference in football between the English and Scottish leagues wasn’t what it is now either . EPL is was in its infancy and Celtic and Rangers rarely lost to English teams when they played in Europe. Hence why the English star player of Euro 96 was playing in Glasgow. Would never happen now though .

No they were not . Where are you getting this shite from . The away attendances were larger . Back then provincial clubs had larger support compared to nowadays. The average attendance away attendance for a Rangers or Celtic game in 1995 was 18000. Somewhat larger than the number you quoted.

He was a nightmare for defenders. He could feint off either foot and work space for a shot quite effortlessly. His close control was also superb
@robharwood-stamper98577 ай бұрын
His strength, balance and change of pace were overlooked too. He'd slow down, take a knock then sprint away or change direction. Simple but genius. Nightmare for a defender, you can't knock him off the ball, you can't out pace him over ten yards and he only needed one yard to shoot. His body position and use of both feet always protected the ball and if you did get the ball he'd be on you like a rash getting it back. Proper number 8. Legend of a player
