Nice video, thx. And nice job. Though some information and advise seems in place: There are 2 transformers because one is for the power supply, the other one for the output to the speaker. Because inside a tube amp there is potentially lethal high voltage, wich has to be transformed before reaching the speaker. And this is also why you should be very carefull poking around a tube amp - even when it is not connected, as there can be capacitors still holding the high voltage. I got one myself, and like it a lot, even better after replacing the first tube (v1) with a 5751 tube.
@joewoodford9428Ай бұрын
@MrAndersbak Good shout about the potential power. As I had not turned on the Amp yet I figured as it has been shipped from China to then Thomann and on to me any charge would have leaked away. But for others worth noting. Thanks Joe

@@bernardmaurice6184 I’m not sure I follow your question. If your Freelander 2 has xenon’s then they should be the same for both headlights, if not then someone at some point in time has exchanged the headlight unit. I’m struggling to get anything flowing through the tundish after opening the prv. Once I open the valve, a small amount of dripping will go through the tundish then it stops after a couple minutes. The tank has continued gurgling for up to an hour and a half the last time I tried this, and I decided to just close the prv as it just didn’t seem to want to stop making that noise. Any ideas? Cheers Edit: just noticed the valve on my megaflo is completely different to yours. Mine is a light blue one and it doesn’t operate on a spring. I can literally open it up and leave it instead of having to hold it open
@joewoodford94283 ай бұрын
@@Ryo22 hi, often only a little bit of water comes out into the tundish. Just want to check, you have isolated the mains cold water feed to the tank, and opened up a hot tap at a low point in the house before opening the tundish(as per my steps). Depending on how depleted the air gap is it could take 1hr. If water is dripping out of the tundish once closed and the water is on, then you need a plumber to check out the tundish as it might have some calcium build up. The tank should not gurgle once the air gap is balanced.
@Ryo223 ай бұрын
@@joewoodford9428 yeah, I’ve closed the mains water supply before opening the tprv. I tried it again tonight and left it going for over an hour and a half but firstly the water never stopped dripping from the hot tap entirely and secondly the gurgling/bubbling sound from the tank did not stop either. In the end I had to close it. And yep, lo and behold, there’s still water dripping through the tundish. Think it’s best to get a professional out at this stage
@joewoodford94283 ай бұрын
@@Ryo22 agree, probably just some calcium buildup preventing the tundish valve to fully shut. Are you in a very hard water area, and is the tank old? If so then a replacement valve might be your best option, cheaper than a new tank !!!

Id be very reluctant to order a guitar or amp from them in the future if they come with so little padding or lightly packaged. Their couriers must be dog rough too. I have a ground floor MegaFlo. Is it possible to perform the hot tap drain by running a pipe from a downstairs tap to a lower level? Is it better to install a drain-off tap somewhere adjacent to the Megaflo? Is the only solution to repeatedly call out an engineer (which I prefer not to for obvious reasons)? Or? Thanks if anyone can advise.
@joewoodford94284 ай бұрын
@@timcarpenter2441 hi, opening the hot water tap means the pressure behind the hot water is released. Down stairs is just what I do as it is the lowest tap, so drains pressured water from the tank and other hot taps in the house. To recharge I think you will be just fine using your sink hot tap. The only thing I can think is that as the blander expands it might have to work a little harder and might not fully recharge. But it should recharge the air gap.

Thieving gits! I have the same car, 2010 version and the wiring harness is a bit longer. I wasn't able to obtain a new one straight away so I removed the old one, repaired the frayed cable that I found then replaced it and the whole thing took me about 20 minutes. I'm not a mechanic. I'm also not convinced the mechanism wouldn't work, maybe the same thing, a frayed cable in the harness? That's what the issue was with mine. If you try to apply power to it, it would probably work. The actual mechanisms are pretty bulletproof. I would be claiming some money back, the consultancy fee is absurd too. Jaguar dealers have a bad reputation for this sort of thing and I often wonder how many car sales it cost the company.

I am unsure if some of you have tried this when you watch this but because we never use the boot keyhole, it sometimes sticks just at the point it releases the trunk. Your fingers might not have the strength so a pair of pliers to hold the key and turn it but if you feel you are putting too much pressure on the key then stop, I don't want you to break the key. The joy of the part that has gone is electrical so the key should work, its just the lock is seized a little and needs that extra tiny turn of the key.

is this a 5 gallon batch? Curious why you don't have the grain in earlier - getting some of the 'step inversion' at lower temps (even though most grains now are fine with 1 hour at 150f (sorry, don't know the centigrade conversion). I also thought the brewzilla had a sparge arm (though one would need to add water as you did) - maybe I confused it with a circulation arm during the boil?
@joewoodford94287 ай бұрын
Mash in temp in DegC typically should be in the range of 66 to 68 to get a good conversion. steeping for 1hr 30 mins (90mins) is usual. Step mash can also yield different sugars and flavours. It is all personal choice in the end. Hitting the grain at these temps means you can get some consistency in the final ABV and flavours of the beer.
