I can only speak for Xbox One when it comes to player count. And I can say that it entirely depends on what time of day you play and luck of finding enough people for a match. I believe there's community pages on Facebook or perhaps Discord that you can find other people who play this game and set up some matches on Steam.

I don't know about that. I was just pointing out the fact that you can see and hear the Tentacles beneath all those Cargo units if you looked down and shot at them. In the Remake, you cant see the tentacles at all. The cargo units do a better job at hiding them.

The tentacles can be seen at the bottom of the room before they are triggered to rise up and try to kill you. I shot at them and you can hear them react to it. In the Remake, you can't see the tentacles at all. It's just all cargo boxes and stuff.

Oh I haven't triggered it yet. They're there before you start moving the Marker around the room. I just noticed them and shot them a few times just to see what would happen.

Yes, you can kill it. I discovered you could still fight it after I failed to trap it the first time even though the game registered that it was a success. The BV pounced out at the last minute and we had our duel in which he was victorious here. I already uploaded a rematch that my friend helped me out with since he hadn't done that quest yet at the time. It was still a 1v1 between me and the BV, the rematch. My friend just kept overwatch and killed any walkers that wanted to intervene. It's kinda funny how the witch says you can't and not suppose to kill it, but I manage to do just that and the mission continued on. No special dialogue or anything unique from the BV corpse besides what you'd usually find on a dead Volatile.
