Great overview of dialing in these pedals. One factor affecting my pedal choices is workflow. I don't like doing the pedal dance, especially while leading. So the pedal has to be able to get the tone I need without reaching down to tweak or spend too much focus on my guitar's knobs. Glad to discover your content!

Hey there! Having to tweak pedals on-the-fly or in between songs is definitely a no-go for most, I would imagine. I don't think you're alone there. 😃

How do these guitars sound through an actual Jcm 800 or say an actual Princeton amp. And where can I find specs on the Veritas website?

Yep. Or if you are only concerned with running wet effects in stereo and don’t care if wet effects are after the amp (which I don’t prefer), you can run one Kemper using four cable method.

Lately I’ve discovered using eq pedals at the end of my dry section to tylor my tone depending on my setup and guitar. Helps curb my chasing after tone. I like to stack low gain drives which takes more practice to get it right but works for me. Otherwise you need a looper/switcher to each one independently.
@GuitarforHISGlory
@GuitarforHISGlory 11 күн бұрын
@@TheGoodNews101 Hey there! Have you also tried the EQ before the dry section? Seems like it might be worth a shot to shape the tone before it hits the drives. I can see it working well both ways and would try just for experimentation’s sake. I use a little EQ in post production when I’m mixing songs to eliminate stubborn frequencies, so I can see your method being valid as well. But I don’t use that post production EQ to drastically alter anything, you know?
@TheGoodNews101
@TheGoodNews101 10 күн бұрын
@ I’ll have to try it before my drives. I don’t usually make drastic moves with eq as well for small adjustments makes a big difference. I have a set of pickups that are mid heavy and nothing can dial it out except slightly bringing down the mid Q on a eq pedal. Kept me from chasing pickups and possibly selling the guitar. Wish I found this idea long ago in my tone journey for it would have saved me frustration and a bunch of money.😄

@@GuitarforHISGlory I just picked up a Empress Paraeq Mk2 that I like. The one I've been using for awhile is the MXR six band eq that works fine. Both are quiet. I heard the older pre 2021 boss Ge7 can be noisy so if I was going that route I get a modded one. Seems like nobody has made a high end graphic eq in pedal form that I have found anyway. However people like Tom Bukovac and Tim Pierce have used the modded Ge7. Was thinking on pulling the trigger on one of those as well. LOL

I hope this video is helpful, everyone! Here’s a powerful thought from John Bunyan on how God the Father views the believer: "Sinner, thou thinkest that because of thy sins and infirmities I cannot save thy soul; but behold, my Son is by me, and upon him I look, and not on thee, and shall deal with thee according as I am pleased with him." For those interested in the gear, the Strymon presets I’m using can be found here: guitarforhisglory.com/product-category/strymon-presets/ (look in the description of this video for a 30% off coupon). I’m using two Tonex pedals in stereo for my amp sim. I normally use captures from the Stereo Pack from Worship Tutorials (1964 AC30 and 1967 Deluxe Reverb). As always, I’m using Lambertones pickups. You can save 10% at Lambertones by using the code GFHGTONE at checkout. Thank you for watching, and let’s keep glorifying Christ through our music!

Of course there's a lot of work put into your website, but I'm wondering what's different from a normal website other than saying "Guitar for his glory" on it. Basically you pay on every website, but I think you would get a lot more reach if you did it for free. By doing this you would really help many people. I think that giving is more blessed than receiving and Jesus would rejoice in that the most, he has helped people and is still helping people without asking for anything in return. God is perfectly holy and just. In His righteousness, He cannot ignore sin (Psalm 7). We, however, are not holy. We are sinners by nature. We have all fallen short of God's glory. On our own, we cannot bridge this gap (Romans 3:23; Isaiah 64:6). The consequence of our sin is death, which means eternal separation from God (Romans 6:23). But God, in His great love, responded to our plight by sending His Son, Jesus Christ, to live a life of perfect obedience on our behalf. He was crucified, and as he hung on the cross, dying, he bore the wrath of God that our sins deserved, so that those who trust in Him would not have to. He died, and He was buried. Yet Jesus, being fully God, conquered death and rose on the third day, securing our justification. To receive this gift of salvation, we must come before God, acknowledging our need for Him (Psalm 51) and placing our faith in the finished work of Christ (Romans 10:9; Acts 16:31). In doing so, we are reconciled to God, brought into peace with Him, and adopted as His beloved children. From this place of grace and peace, our calling is to share this good news with others (Matthew 28:18), live for His glory (Isaiah 43:7), and find our deepest satisfaction in knowing Him.

@guitarforhisglory really great stuff! I'm trying to figure out the best option as a HX Stomp XL owner. I noticed on your podgo pack has 4 snapshots per preset with 4th slot being an ambient tone. But the hx stomp patches use only 3 snapshots (since it only has 3 buttons), and thus no ambient snapshot. Since HX Stomp XL has same number of buttons as pod go (4 or even 6), what do you recommend? It looks like from the watching this video that you don't use the native chain split capabilities of stomp so all the presets have straight chain. So even though they use different software, it would seem then that your preset choices on podgo could be transferred over to hx stomp xl, since they mostly share same amp/cabs/pedals, right? Any advice much appreciated. Would love the kitchen sink set of songs on my stomp xl.

@@GuitarforHISGlory thanks for replying. Sorry for not being more clearer. I understand the software is the different and file formats are different between the two; but the amp/cab/pedals are the same. (I actually already had the podgo and just recently upgraded to HX Stomp XL.) And from watching both your worship essential videos for HX Stomp and PodGo, it looked like your signal chain for each was a single line rather than using splits anywhere, so I figured the podgo presets could be rebuilt for 4 snapshot (with 4th being the ambient snapshot) for HX Stomp XL. Probably not much demand for that, I guess. Again, appreciate your channel and what you do!
