You are wrong ..i have this same trike it is positive..the axel truns and pushes both wheels as the brake works the same way..both wheels pull and brake..not just one..

I put a 8.75 Briggs and Stratton on mine...and its way to much power..hard to hold it and dont trun or at leat one back wheel will be off of the ground..got the factory brake on the back added a duel springer front end with disc brake.. And i love it...tops out at like fifty two miles an hour..if you are eather brave enough or dumb enough..lol..

I had the exact same setup, the engine kit was specifically designed for the schwinn meridian but I had to replace the stock spokes on the wheel that was driven with heavy duty spokes because the power of the engine ripped the stock spokes apart.

I built one with a torque converter and used the bikes axle that has a keyway and used a 7/8 inch 30 tooth sprocket. Has great low end torque and to much high speed even with the governor still hooked up.

Oh yeah 😎. John over at Mableton Lawnmower and GoCart Repair (Georgia) told me the same thing: a Torque Converter aka CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission) equipped GoCart or bike can literally "Walk Away" from any chain ⛓️ driven vehicle. 🤔

6:20 You say the chain now has the perfect amount of tension-what about after 3 months riding the trike? Will the chain stretch? I would have fitted a chain tensioner myself..just saying.

Metal chains don't really stretch... Maybe by 1mm, lol. A chain tensioner is mainly to help the chain from falling off of the sprockets.

First of all, if you pay $500 for a predator engine I’ve got some land in the desert but I know Oceanview because those are engines all day long are like 130 bucks brand new at Harbor freight huh or you can sometimes get them for like $119 with a coupon. I’ve even got them as low as $100 with a coupon, so that’s crazy insane if he paid $500 for a predator engine I mean I can take a predator Indian and make it into a an a class go kart engine for less than three including electric start up so that’s insane I think you’re gonna have a problem with turning because trikes turn really weird specially when it’s gas powered, and that those bikes are really top-heavy

In Australia the bike alone is $2000 so yes I could see the engine being 500 it depends on where he lives

Hiw big or wide can the tires be on the meridian. Thank you for the video I have been on the fence about getting a meridian when i seen a video with where the axle broke. But I don't know what the ride habits of the person or how they treated their bike.

Probably as big as mountain bike tires. And I've never had a problem with the axle.

What you do about the rims, do you have a problem when you get to high speed do have control of the bike. I have the I have the ghost the back rims pretty much done.

The stock rims are pretty much junk. You'll need to research beefier rims.
