What's up with the windshield? Is this a luxury McGregor 26? Ostensibly a sailboat but mostly used as a powerboat?

The windshield is just there to attach canvas which covers the companionway (access to inside of boat). That canvas allows doors to be open when raining, gives shade and ventilation. That makes it much more comfortable inside. It may also extend to the helm (wheel) for shade and rain. 😊

Great, but I am no millionair. These yachts are extremely high quality. And you pay a fair price for quality. If you got the budget, go for them. You won't regret it.

High quality? how? As from what I can see from the web its a standard sandwich construction with no frills and standard 3rd party rigging and hardware.

Being a Brit I can't deny having a soft-spot for our famous jet tenders, but I've always had an appreciative eye for AST. Light weight. Cost effective. Strong as an ox. Two oxen, probably. Electric option. Fantastic. Bloody good looking too. I'm sure they'll make a lot of boaters very happy down under.
