Hi Johanna! Yes, like most string instruments in the world, it needs to be tuned. But this also means you can tune it to different scales and totally evoke different feelings while you play. So it can be very versatile. These Electro Lyres have guitar tuners which make the tuning process much simpler.

The company who makes these is not create them according to the chakra, but as harmonious musical intervals. The interval of a fifth, which is present in all of the Waves you purchase, can be very healing for the entire body as it is quite balancing.

The high / mid A flute is A 440. The A an octave below that, or the A below middle C. which is the lowest note of this flute, is A 220, dummy!
