I got to know Sheryl and her husband Douglas Haas well during their long visits to Malta. Sheryl was so fond of Malta that she made two or three visits to Malta after Douglas's passing away. Both of them were active in Malta's musical life, and Sheryl left a great tribute tribute to Malta in her book "A Land in the Storytelling Sea"of verse and colour photos of Malta taken by Sheryl in 2014. Her sudden death in Malta very early this year was a great shock to those who knew her and cherished her friendship. M y wife Cecilia and I will always miss her.

I don't know if anyone will see this, but anyway: I knew Sheryl briefly when we were both graduate students at Massey College in 1980/81. Even though we were in completely different fields of study (I'm an astrophysicist), we got on well and I enjoyed her company. We didn't stay in touch after we went our separate ways, which I'm sorry about because I later developed an interest in renaissance choral music and we would have had much in common. I recently looked her up online to encourage her to attend a College reunion, only to discover she is no longer with us. What sad news - but what a full and interesting life she led. My condolences to her friends and family.

Great sermon! Maybe the Rector should go on holiday more often?

It sounds gloomy and distressing but if this is true it could be a very hopeful sign. I have long felt that Harry needed his own space in familiar territory. If he is on home turf away from her he could heal and restart his life on a better path. The Queen of Cups might be a helping hand who rents a place to him. Less for mm to claim in a divorce.

Congratulations, David. That is a fine piece of music and I am glad it was put out separately and with adequate volume. I sang several freshly composed works under Michael Capon.
