What an interesting song! The orchestral arrangements made it even more grand and beautiful. I also loved that the lyrics were displayed.

If anyone is unaware, this song is based on old American Sacred Harp hymns! The "fa-la-so" bit in the beginning is called shape note and is an important part of this type of music. Based on the hand motions of Mr. Upper Right Corner, I think the musicians are well aware--but any interested listeners should check out this tradition if you like this song!

You know the weirdest thing today is how I have spent by day looking for numerous different versions of Hark the Herald after listening to it this morning and being unable to get it out of my head. Never did I ever think you'd upload about that very song. Crazy...

It’s fate! The full version is on our regular KZbin three years back.

Any shot of a tutorial? I know this video is old, but I've really been trying to learn finger picking specifically to play songs like this. There are no good tutorials for this song out there. Would be greatly appreciated if you showed your method for something like this. Thanks!

This is so happy-making. Not as good as seeing it live (which I got to do last year!) of course, but it's so nice to get a particle of the experience virtually. I hope it comes around again next year and that I can see it in person again then. Congratulations on creating such a marvelous show!

I feel like I should have at least tried potatoes and molasses after all these years but I'm not sure that's a tradition I want to start without better dental care. 😂
@cricketblue3 ай бұрын
Hahaaa good point HOWEVER I think once you try it, you won't exactly get carried away eating it. I tried it because of the potatoes and molasses video shoot since it was right there, but it wasn't exactly good. A neutral experience.
