He sent her flowers EVERY DAY until the day he died. When they didn't arrive she knew something was wrong. 😢 He ONLY married Priscilla after her & her US AIR FORCE COLONEL Dad FORCED him to. They had a meeting with The Colonel in Studio City in LA threatening to call a press confrence and destroy his career once Ann & his affair made the paper. He told Ann and it's why they broke up. Listen to Elvis tell Red West in 1976 when Red secretly recorded Elvis' phone conversation. It's MIND BLOWING.

Whoever mixed this has to be a professional. I'm a massive Elvis fan but found the original of this song quite slow and dull but this version is sensational. If anyone knows the story behind this please let me know. Can it be bought ?

Elvis recorded the song July 11, 1963, at Radio Recorders in Hollywood. Three versions were recorded: The first version (master, take #6) has never been released. The second (master, take #4) was released by RCA on record. A third version (master, take #4) was used in the film (Viva Las Vegas), but has been released on bootlegs only. Written by Bill Giant, Bernie Baum, and Florence Kaye based on "Liebestraume," Franz Liszt's 1850 composition. The movie was released in 1964. Sourced from ELVIS, His Life From A-Z. 1992 edition.

I've seen it maybe over a 150 times in the theaters, and I've watched a 1000 times on my D. V. I said yeah. I never stop watching It. I think he's one of the hands-on this man in the world. And I think she is the most beautiful woman in the world. And I also that's one of my very favorite songs, especially when they sing it together. When I was a little while, I was hoped that they would get married that. That never happened today.Today I'm hoping to get married to a very handsome man and I'm dedicating this song to him. He's wonderful he's loving his kind. He's great I love you lucas

The Ann Margret era was my favorite in Elvis’s hair, face the way he dressed in suit jackets and black pants. He looked so gorgeous and dreamy this period of his life❣️ The way he looked into her eyes and her into his makes me melt❣️ They were so in love ♥️ at that time….just wished they could have stayed together but Parker had to intrude into his personal life as well as PB’s parents

So glad that you both acknowledge that Prissy's dad "blackmailed" Elvis into marrying her. Many still claim it was strictly Parker. I never heard, though, that there was a meeting in Studio City to discuss it. That's interesting. Elvis gave her a "lackluster" proposal- "I told you I would know when the time was right. (paraphrased)." Sonny W. said that Elvis never even told the guys he was engaged. So sad. I wish that Elvis and Ann would have had an opportunity to explore their relationship. Later on, Prissy had the nerve to ask Joe E. to deny in interviews that EP/AM relationship wasn't all that and they were just dating. To my knowledge, Joe E. never succumbed to this.
