Am 27.7. habe ich ihn auf der jazz Open in Stuttgart erlebt. Unbeschreiblich, lebendig, präsent. Aber Jamie allein am Klavier jazzend macht mir echt Gänsehaut!

I'm so incredibly sad that my favorite Sax Man is gone. David's music got me through some really tough times in my life and I'm so grateful. I am also grateful that I saw him with Bob James and Marcus Miller on the Double Vision Revisited Tour, and again last summer at the Blue Note in NY doing what he loved. So long and rest in power, David. You did the damned thing and there will never, ever be another like you. And thank you for keeping me sane during the dark times.

Actual he is very good, not to say brilliant in beside making music also making a show. Its some easy jazz listening which I also like. But there are way more brilliant jazz pianists which nobody recognizes beside this "easy jazz" listening. Keith Jarrett, Chick Corea, Hank Jones, Art Tatum (!!!), .....
