This dance just proves to me again that women have the best form. My husband would agree but for this video he does not count. : )

se per capire devi sapere cos'è l'annottato il volo enlanista ed interpretare le pose figurali, mi vengono dei dubbi sul significato dell'arte

Choreography push the dancers to achieve perfection in body motion through the back ground music, somehow sounding at times very dark❤

KZbin defines this performance as erotic...which could be true if you equate erotic with athleticism
@pedroalcalde01

The subtitle that we put to the main title (Cobalt is just the name of a color) tried to give an idea of the chosen background theme: on eroticism. In other words, it is not an erotic show, but a reflection on eroticism. And all this to the samall extent that dance can address a theme: without words, without written reflections, without the pretense of any philosophical or even psychological analysis. Just dance. It is true that the excellence of these incredible dancers seems athletic, but if you look twice you will see in the precision of their movements the realization of a technique at the service of choreographic art, which is athletic but not only. The best thing is to understand it as exclusively dance, the rest is just a pretext to put that technique in motion.

How are we to relate to this nihilistic, and dare I say narcissistic, choreography? The dancers are talented but to what purpose?

I was trying to answer your previous message also to this question. Thank you for your comment: it is always very appreciated when someone sees our work and has thoughts, questions, doubts. Do not think that we have answers for everything, that we are not trying to write an academic treatise either. But as I told you before, perhaps a little better explained in the other comment, the first engine is fundamentally technical, of choreographic and musical research, or perhaps, better said, of sound experimentation.

Stunning choreography, beautifully matched to the music. An incredible mix of traditional ballet’s athleticism with modern storytelling. 🎉

MUSIC BY RICHARD STRAUSS

Yes Walter! I wrote it in the explanatory text, but it is true that it had to be more clear in the title: I have corrected it. Thank you. In case you're interested: the marimba (2 players) plays, while the voice is heard whispering Dorothy Parker's poem, the harmonies of the french horns from measures 31 to 38: it was the only way to connect the end of the ballet: which bears the title of the Strauss song, followed by the ";" (the semicolon symbolizing the overcoming suicide attempts). Thank you for pointing that: it was not clear before.

Ahhh... we have a video of the recording, if you like to listen to it... (played by the same excellent musicians who play throughout the entire ballet)
