Ive worked my entire 10th grade just so they could put me in summer school. Is there any solutions?
@TheTenneySchoolАй бұрын
We've found that a large percentage of students don't learn effectively in larger class settings. (by no fault of their own) Have you tried looking into a smaller school? It's possible that the school you're currently at doesn't fit your learning style. It's also worth getting a tutor as well! Getting one at the beginning of the year and having routine meetings with them will help you identify weaknesses in your learning before they become a problem later on in the year.

Is it possible to make it to university if I have to only recover one credit, say math
@TheTenneySchool2 ай бұрын
In this specific case, I would consult your counselor. Universities have different rules on your transcript GPA after acceptance. In most cases it's best to play it safe and enroll in a credit recovery class during the summer.

I was in online school in 5th grade, it was *PURE TORTURE.* i was failing every class except social studies because i actually had an interest in war history. my social life also crumbled as i had no friends because it was online, the only way i could contact my old friends before online is by calls, messages and video games. if your a parent and you see this, do not put any of your children in online school.

I'm going do an exercise. I read your title and I'm going to answer my thoughts on the subject without watching the video. Then ill watch it and review what I've learned from your video. You see I attended a prestigious private school from kindergarten until the 10th grade. Then my parents divorced and almost had to live under a bridge things changed so fast.I went to a typical public school and on the first 3 guys attempted to beat me up. I talked to them and found out I was distantly related to one of them. In public school, I got As in classes I liked and B's in classes I didnt.In my final senior semester I only had one class. I only got b,c and d in my original school. Afterward, I found a career I enjoyed and taught my self,botany from books. Then my first year of University was difficult. But I got a scholarship my second year and traveled to learn with professors that enjoyed my enthusiasm, though, I realized I wasn't going to go for any Ph.d. Later, I realized certain families could put their kids in public school and the kids would go on to get their masters,etc. My knowledge of reading and writing is far above the average, though I got D's in school. Parents should stay together until the kids graduate is what I learned.

@user-mj5vx8xj8t Yeah but that's an economic problem, maybe work also shouldn't be that long. I agree that it would pose a problem if the days were shorter but it's something we should strive towards as a society.

You do realize how antisocial most teenagers are now, right? It’s because, for 7 and a half hours a day, they’re forced into an actively antisocial environment. In a lecture environment, it’s beaten into these kids heads that they can only learn when they do what they’re told. It’s a damn military camp, not a place of education.

The only GOOD thing I like about year round school is that you would get weeks off at a time giving students and families the chance to travel other than summer or spring break. But that still won’t help adolescents look for jobs, and that would’ve if I were a kid then made me attempt to invite a bunch of friends over and host a huge party during these 2-3 week break. But other than that, it still will suck.

It isn't nearly as effective for children. How can they respect a teacher on screen when they're staring at screens the rest of the day? What about being social; playing with other kids and learning valuable social skills throughout the school day? This is an awful development for children. School was the one place to get away from screens in the world, and actually have to intereact.
@TheTenneySchool Жыл бұрын
Thank you for your comment! This brings up an interesting point about schools and their roles for socialization. What are your thoughts on technology in the classroom? Do you think schools should adopt screens for in-person classes or should they stay away from them?
@wilsonporter2294 Жыл бұрын
