This movie is an ABSOLUTE CERTIFIED CLASSIC!!! And all the great classics never did well initially at the box office. They are slow cooking and take some time to reach the hearts of the Audience. And also '94 was a tough box office year with a ton of competition.

After her comments in support of Palestine and an end to the genocide in Gaza there was a zero chance she would get any award. Even getting nominated might be a stretch.

Her ex agent definitely did her so dirty but i think its amazing that someone like Pamela Anderson has been blessed with the opportunity to turn her career around and prove that she is more than a pretty blonde or tabloid fixture.

Not wearing makeup is one thing, but disheveled hair does not add to the look. Sorry. 😔 She is a beautiful woman, but her unkempt hair takes away from her beauty. Sorry.

How are they going to fit in Kelsey’s unadulterated and shameless worship of ol’ chunky chump. We know there’s no common sense to it but it’s fun to watch him make a fool of himself.👍

My memory of Pamela Anderson was limited to her celebrity as a beautiful girl in a bathing suit and her marriage to a rock star. When her documentary became available and her down to earth personality became known I watched it and was intrigued by her life choices. In the movie her vulnerability was palpable as her showgirl personna is revealed. Her talent is first rate and she should continue to wow audiences.

I'm Still Here, is an important document of Brazilian history under military dictatorship in the 1970's and how cruel and devastating it was to tenderness, libertarian humanistic thinking and democracy, delaying the country in all developmental aspects. The autobiographic book by Marcelo Rubens Paiva, tells the tragic story of his family, highlighted by the heroic bravery of his mother, Eunice Paiva, an incredible strong woman who amidst the disappearance of her husband, a successful civil engineer and congressman that was taken from his own home by the military police for interrogation and never returned home. Eunice had to reconstruct her life, restraining her feelings to take care of their five children, and at the same time having to reinvent herself as a human rights lawyer to take care of her family and claim for justice. Those are the universal emotions that guide and permeate every aspect of this amazing story. The delicate but at the same time strong movie adaptation by the great director Walter Salles, who wisely decided to work with subliminal language, not portraying visually any kind of hardships of the torture sessions suffered by Rubens Paiva that culminated in his death and also the concealment of the corpse, that became habits of the Brazilian military regime of the time, and specially the prefect casting choices of the great actors Fernanda Torres and Selton Mello, portraying the couple Eunice and Rubens Paiva, that co-created those characterizations with masterful contained acting performances, never exaggerating, are in my opinion the highlights of this film. I especially draw attention to the "ice-cream" and "mirror scenes", masterfully constructed by Fernanda Torres, that in my opinion will be forever remembered as one of the great masterclass on contained acting. Independently of awards, it is already a winner. A necessary film to serve as warning for the whole word, in times of advancement of the extreme right politics and dangers of media support for dictatorial thoughts. A MUST WATCH!! 👍👍

Important note. Walter Salles is son of Walther Moreira Salles, Brazilian Ambassador in Washington DC. during the American conspiration that led to the suicide of President Getulio Vargas. Walther Moreira Salles also was the man of confidence of Lincoln Gordon, American Ambassador in Brazil during the conspiration and coup that took João Goulart from Government and installed the dictatorship that Walter Salles now claimed to be against. I wonder how Walter Salles would paint his own father in a film.
