What about the back part of the deck? How do you keep grass from blowing out of that curved part that the chute doesnt cover?

Depends on the newbie… this mower packs a lot of power! the controls can takes a little while to get used to and I would say it would work better for someone with some type of experience 😎

Do they come standard built or can I customize?
@taylordlawnlabor17292 жыл бұрын
When you buy from a dealer I think they are standard, but you can order from the main company and customize the wheels and other features

Mine won't sit flush. It's annoying
@taylordlawnlabor17292 жыл бұрын
Yeah that sucks, maybe you can make some adjustments to your bolt holes to allow just a little bit more play in its movement?
@brandonsmith85482 жыл бұрын
I can get it flush but when I do the plate gets stuck on the stupid bracket. I've put it in every possible position on this scag and nothing works. Just gotta deal with it I guess.

Are you able to use run your Chute bloeker AND and then use a side grass catcher (like the Accelerator grass catcher) without having hardware interferences?

Thank you for this video! More helpful then calling Bad Boy or SCAG! Another guy I know said he left 1/4” gap between the chute and the frame of his mower, so grass is shooting up into his face. I’m assuming he means that when the chute is down, it’s not flush against the frame. How did you make sure it was flush? Thank you.
@taylordlawnlabor17294 жыл бұрын
Brian Mieczkowski You’re welcome and thank you, it’s all in when you’re marking your holes to drill out on the bracket and deck, Some of the holes on the bracket give you some wiggle room to adjust the bolts, , when you look at your bracket you’ll see what I mean and I drilled those holes out just in case I had to slide the plate back or forth a little bit before tightening to get the chute to close flush
@taylordlawnlabor17294 жыл бұрын
Just make sure you have your mounting plate exactly in the spot you need it fior the chute plate to close correctly before you drill those holes out
@melroyel22354 жыл бұрын
Why do you stop and start the blades so much?
@taylordlawnlabor17294 жыл бұрын
Well the first time I was trying to stop from hitting the house and my hand slipped off.. I’m kind of new to the machine but the other times I stopped is when I’m traveling across the yard or mowing the trench.. so anytime that I would mow an uneven spot, I didn’t want the blade running for scalping purposes, and the last time I stopped because I was going around the tire of the truck and I was still mowing the trench/ditch. One of the options I like about the machine is being able to stop the blades without shutting down the mower
@melroyel22354 жыл бұрын
@@taylordlawnlabor1729 okay. Looking to get one for my boy's lawn service. Is it easy to handle that a 13 year old may be able to use it?
@taylordlawnlabor17294 жыл бұрын
It packs a lot of power, and it’s pretty heavy also, so the thing is getting used to the controls and not trying to muscle it around like it’s a push mowing, it’s all about using the controls to move around freely. Personally I love it for what I use it for, cuts through anything
@taylordlawnlabor17294 жыл бұрын
And you don’t wanna run into anything because a lot of people are having problems bending the front caster mounts from running into walls and different things like that so you got to take extra care of it
@melroyel22354 жыл бұрын
Cool, I'm going to take my son up to.the Snapper dealer and try out the SW15. Same mower different brand. I believe Snapper owns Ferris and I'm to far from a Ferris dealer. Thanks for the info about the casters I may get the fixed front wheel model.
