An amazing performance. Great driving and an amazing car out of the stone age passing so many more modern cars. I recently bought a BT7 project 3000, I hope to have it on the road in under two years.

@@TheRawles46 we haven't yet, but plan to. We race the car in Portland, Oregon this coming weekend, the off to Road America (five cars from the Pacific Northwest), then back home to Seattle for SOVREN's Fall Finale at Pacific Raceways the last weekend of September. I believe the president of SOVREN has invited you to that event. Come race with us at a fantastic, historic track where the likes of Ken Miles, Dan Gurney, Mario Andretti, Al Unser, Dale Earnhardt, Mark Donohue, and Parnelli Jones raced.

Fantastic video. I love these onboards. I also love how these classic cars are still going strong! I was born in the wrong era (80s). Although there are some nice cars from the 80s I've always admired older cars even as a kid. I've subscribed so hopefully you continue to post videos in the future. 👍👍

Great race and Wow, what a car; lucky chap. Please tell me if I should get an Arai GP-7 FRP too?
@TheRawles468 ай бұрын
Thank you... Very lucky! OK so I have had my GP6 for 10 years, I loved it but wanted to 'upgrade' I went for the GP7. I do really like it, it is more suited to open top cars with additional cheek padding that stops the air from going under the helmet. I feel it is less buffeting at high speed to. However, it has a noticeably smaller visor opening so can feel a little more cramped and limits some peripheral vision, in my opinion. My advise would be, GP6 for closed cockpit and GP7 for open cockpit/both. If you need a good helmet painter, send me a DM on Instagram and I can give you his details.
@dickieb22338 ай бұрын
@@TheRawles46 Thank you for your honesty and being so humble. I just came to edit my question as yours is the carbon version isn't it. Three times the price but all comments made stand for both. Mine is open top too. Think I shall have to check first as peripheral vision is paramount. I shall be in the market for a nice Healey soon so I shall keep checking your website. 👍🏻

I know that one well from Project Cars, not easy to drive. Though, I usually took the short version, with the hair pin to the right behind the bridge. The S's over the hill are key really, you can gain or lose so much time in there. Still, my favourit short track is Brands Hatch Indy.
