I bought a low mileage 56 265 years ago , bought some heads that were popular to swap on those engines but can't remember what they were from . I put in a cam and have other new parts that i was going to install but shifted gears and abandoned the project. I'd love to find a tri-five to install it in and build an old school hot rod.

interesting.dad had a 71 c10 & i noticed the differences, am sure 71 had 5 X 4.3/4 bolt pattern where 69 has 6 lug. 69 also had spacer for pcv between Qjet & air cleaner.since dads had big moroso air cleaner i thought the spacer was aftermarket too.but obviously not.dads had 350 with 3.08 ? rear.i have no doubts it would do 120 & it was stock.130 is DEFINATELY within easy reach if he played with it a little.wish he wouldve never traded for a 74, heavy half? having driven both ALOT.i liked the 71 better in every way.his final truck was an 89.worst one he ever had in every way.driven same roads & winters.the 89 rusted up quicker than the 74 believe it or not.

I'm doing my 55 out in the driveway. My Chevelle is too nice and my garage is too small for two cars so you do what you gotta do. I'm doing the metal work and covering it. It'll be fine when I start the body work and getting it ready for paint I'll use the garage. But at that point it'll be running and driving.

Sadly soon all combustion cars and trucks including classics will be banned from public streets in entire EU and Scandinavia :-( In Germany the Green Peoples Party gave order to shorten fuel supply from 2025 on by reducing all conventional fuel stations to only one state operated central gas station per city or county. Car washs will be forbidden too because they are climate killers, now they want to slow down all the gas station pumps from 20 litre per minute to 2 litre per minute...From 2027 on in the EU certain car spare parts will be banned too....as exhaust systems, turbo chargers and even some engine and gearbox oils...California and New York will do the same from 2027 on.... So no investments should be done in oil burning cars any longer....They even created a new kind of crime here, called emissions and smoke crime.!!! (BABVVEN & TEBBVEN & BEFVO laws)!!!!!!!

There is a man in Ohio who picked up a 55 2 door sedan in rough shape but its slowly coming together. I wasn't sure at first but dang it he doing a great job with it. Gotta save those ol 55s. Yours looks very saveable.

Nice to see a 55 Chevy being restored. I did mine back in the 1970s and still have it to this day.
