I have one, in 3 years it's never been used. Thought my wife would use it for her crafts too and it never got touch. I guess we don't have Hobbies that require a base station. It's still pretty cool though.

Finally got a chance to implement your fix. IT works great - thanks! Shoots at least 15 feet. I had 3 of these things and couldnt give them away. I had been hoping that somebody would come up with something to do with them. I still have 2 and I am going to use one as an indoor bug sprayer with a pet/child-friendly insecticide (high ceilings) and one for outdoors spider and carpenter bee patrol.

I have the cutter and my only complaint is they have a tendency to snag on the back side of the blade the cardboard or that impossible to open plastic packaging. Looks like the shears would be less likely to get snagged.

I have leaves like that too. I used to use a sweeper behind my rider but I got sick and tired of bagging tons of leaves so for the past few years I've been going out every third day to mulch the leaves with gator blades - so far it has been working out well.

I got a bunch of those tools during a directtools order. Gave them all out to people that had Ryobi tools as well. Seemed like a tool worth only it's purpose. I couldn't find a use for them. Maybe you are right, needs modifications to it to be used as a super soaker.
