Great screen and a HUGE upgrade from the original AGS-001! This V5 is truly a drop-in IPS for the original oem shell, no altering needed. I bought it from Hispeedido's official Aliexpress store, and it was shipped quickly and well packaged.

I recieved this today. My kit doesnt have the toggle for reset button, nor does any other player besides player 1 works. Not even plugged in or wireless. Totally not happy with this bs mod.

great kit, just wish the resolution was lower. Not sure what the benefit of 9 to 1 integer scaling is over 4 to 1. But it definitely uses more power.

Just installed mine and absolutely amazing display! A more comprehensive installation guide would be nice tho, especially since it´s quite important to shield certain components so they don´t short out once you´ve got everything assembled. On the other hand, everything was included with the display kit to properly shield everything, even kapton tape <3 These would be a sweet upgrade for the GBA as well. I´ve got the latest IPS v5 display on mine, but this AMOLED beats it

I just ordered the whole kit with laminated v5 IPS screen, the USB-C battery mod and a new case from you guys. I like that you do not have to open the menu to control the lighting. Wish me luck with the soldering 😅

Do you plan a GBC OLED screen with the desaturation option? This is what many people miss about the OLED screen, because in some games the colors are too saturated (for example: the grass in Zelda Link's awakening DX).

Solder the wire cables in. 3 pin to 2 pin conversions are possible, i have done it. Use a couple CR2032 batteries you have lying around to see which wire is negative and which is possible. Simply delete the 3rd unused wire.

The battery is ml1220. It is a socket on this mod board.

As @sskylar mentioned, the same thing happens to me. I installed the kit, and the console restarts after 5-6 seconds. I have the GC Loader PnP HW2 installed. Is there any solution tot that? Or did I just get a faulty board?

I have already managed to solve the problem. It seems that having the GC Loader installed, the console consumes more power, and that's why it doesn't fully turn on. By contacting the seller, they told me there was a solution by soldering a capacitor (which they sent me for free). If this happens to anyone else, contact the seller and they will provide you with instructions for the soldering.

I don't like that the lens comes pre-attached to the screen. It makes it difficult to get it into the shell. Mine went in at a weird angle and I had to get it out. Pretty sure I broke it because now the display does not come on.

The H position menu actually moves vertical. Too bad if the display is shifted right like in California Games, and Gates of Zendocon (and maybe more) ! I have to send my Lynx back. I'll make a KZbin video tonight showing how some games actually appear.

@@timnmarylinder My opinion is don’t. I binned mine and got BennVenn display. I did make a video that was live for a time, but my channel is largely creative and I don’t like something like that on it permanently. There’s some talk of it on Reddit Lynx group. Someone with similar result posted there.

All the new Gameboy mods use touch pads that you put on the top of the shell when you insert the screen. The touch sensor is very sensitive so it works perfectly through the shell.

Hi, can you please confirm that there is an option in the “color” setting to have a desaturated image? (Like a real non-backlighted GBC) My issue with every kit out there is that the image is unnaturally too saturated. Thanks!

Sorry, the current kit we have is the one that exist issues with the image being so saturated. It is technically impossible to solve this problem right now.

@@hispeedido4392 It's a good kit and you've simplified a bunch of install options. Thank you! A updated v2 board with desaturation options would be appreciated since yellows & greens seem fairly unbalanced. An option to just buy the updated controller board would be a plus too. Overall great work and it's 90% there but having the desaturation options would make this a perfect kit. Thanks again!
