Sally line left Ramsgate due to a lack of access. After they left the council put the access road including a large tunnel. There is no coastal route to Sandwich, nobody walks that section past Pegwell bay it's horrendous.

Yes I learned my lesson there , it was a horrid part of the walk but overall very enjoyable. I went on Dally line a few times but I don’t remember issues getting to the dock, then again it was a very long time ago. Happy days in those trips across the channel 😂😂

Nice Albany and that whole Southern I ran coastline is stunning so thanks for sharing, very enjoyable. Heading that way to film the big winter storms as we speak, something to witness. During cyclone Alby I visited Sugarloaf Rock and super 8 filmed a massive wave hit that monolith. The top of the wave struck around 20 feet below the summit and the subsequent spray cause the rock to almost disappear. I'm holding out in Dunsborough at the moment. In the couple of weeks I've been here we've had pilot whales beech themselves at Toby Inlet, Two big storms with masses of lightening, the Arora Australis which was spectacular, several stunning blue sky days with the bay shimmering like silk sheets and several nights with about 20 native ducks spending the nights under my van doing things. They've been having quite a party. Dunsborough is a very pretty area well protected from the prevailing winds and some of the best seascapes in the country not to mention an abundance of wildlife. Not sure I want to leave. Very enjoyable vid as always.

Fantastic video of my home city (albeit I live in Southampton). St James’ metro station is surprisingly efficient but it helps that a) my season ticket is in the Gallowgate End and b) the station is really only useful if you want the Coast Line meaning probably 70% of Metro Users go to Monument - our metro culture not being a changing trains one). Oh it’s Leazes with a hard Z as per your second pronunciation.

I'm sorry to say this but central London really looks like a sad place. Between the clueless tourists and the financial workers, I just don't see the vibe anymore. Everyone either looks depressed or too self-absorbed for their own good. The only positive thing is the sight of mallard ducks in the Thames. Even they look kind of bored. I'd rather watch paint dry than walk around Central London.

Unfortunately that was our one and only trip to the UK. The 6 weeks driving around Europe was set up following the theme of the expansion of the Roman Empire so Bath and as much in between was covered. As to mum's memories it was a toss between Brighton and the White cliffs of Dover and as her traumatic memories of the bombing of London and the significance of the cliffs to airmen carried a great deal of meaning so that was it. Yeah the Nullabore, crossed it 4 times, talk about the white cliffs of Dover the Great Australian Night blows your mind. We visited the Head of the Bight in time to see 135 whales and 25 calves in the bay and from the platform were able to watch a mother and her playful calf for an hour not 60 meters away. That was a wonderful experience. Another was sunrise at the WA end of the Madura Pass. For 15 minutes you just sat in awe as this stunning prehistoric landscape took you to a while different level, breathtaking beauty. I enjoy the style of your videos. I'm retired and have set myself up with an off grid cruiser and van and currently in Geography bay slowly making my way to Lucky Bay. May end up in Menzies to Mt Magnet via Sandstone for some gold prospecting, depends on which way the wind blows . So thoughts of making a few videos focussing on the inland forrests nocturnal wildlife and or the fury of the Southern Ocean through winter is my temptation. But for now this beautiful weather and the silky smooth waters of Geographe Bay are a powerful magnet and here I'm put.

Unfortunately I never got to Germany, I had three brothers born there post WW11. Another fond memory of my mother, the German people. We started in England, on to France, Paris further down to Lyon then on to Spain visiting mostly Barcelona. The back in to France through the Fench Alps drove for a week up the East coast to Montpellier, train to Switzerland. After that magic stay on to Italy, The Vatican, Rome, Naples, Pompeii, the Amalphi Coast back inland then back to Rome. Then Athens where the history, the mythical history just blew my mind. The Greeks have a lot to be proud of, very impressive. Then off home to Perth via Singapore, another remarkable and respected culture. 6 weeks, we must of driven 15,000km and even though it was December to January it only rained twice, 15 minutes in Rome and a magnificently wild storm on the Amalphi coast that last the whole of 1 day. Saw an incredible amount of Roman History and a whole lot more.

🇦🇺 that was amazing. We never got to the southern coast of England. But we did manage to drive just under 3000km in 4 days, much to the shock of the eurocar hire. My mother would mention Brighton from the days before the war, very fond memories. We did walk along a fascinating rocky beach on the Amalphi Coast. It was covered in volcanic rock pebbles, in itself amazing. Sounds a bit boring perhaps but what formed the rocky beach in Brighton ? You never learn anything about the geology of Great Britain.
