Yea, I think it was just the time period the game came out, this style was popular. And also in Japan they could get away with the 'Chibi Nudity' more easily than the actual real size girl, without having to deal with censorship. Crazy I know, but Japan laws are sometimes a bit crazy too.

There are some, and the dubbing is actually quite good, as Japanese people like to get the voice as close to the original person as possible. Unlike Some English Dubs. I remember watching Terminator 2 in Japanese, hehe. A lot of classic cartoons are done too, like Power Puff Girls, Sponge Bob, etc. All with professional voice acting, so they are actually quite good!

Haha, I wish, these are just a bunch of commercials I had recorded on VHS tapes back in 2004 or so. Probably most of the games shown are Japan only though, I'll have to check and see. The Bomberman game looked fun! and Inukami. ^_^

Haha, The game developers must have really hated poor Ralph for some reason. Either that or they were running out of ideas for more death scenes. At least it was a 'creative' way to go eh? :P

No more picking up fish with Ohashi for me. Just going to use the Science machine to do it all for me. Am still impressed by their Banana Peeling device as well. Should be a patent on that thing!! ^_^

Hey, I think I've played that one in the past (Not on the channel though) Reminds me a lot of the all girl 'Advanced V.G.' fighting game I did a while back. Will add it to my list for the future! ^_^

@@NipponGaming thanks for video! it should be alright as long as the video is set age restricted. there are various anime nude videos that are allowed on youtube, and this doesnt show full detail, so its rather safe. Glad the developers are brave to include that. nude is not something to be ashamed of.

This game really showcases some of the 'typical' things in 90's Japan games, that Western games thought Taboo at the time. Many of them had pixel art nudity, and the first episode I put up of this game got a KZbin flag on it (because of the bath scene). However it's honestly very pure and quite tasteful, so as you said, nothing to be ashamed about. ^_^ Always great to see your comments!

Hi Shadyogre! Are you at the start of the game? First you will have to collect some of the costumes which are from Boss Fights or in chests in Dungeons. You have to go through a few story steps in the beginning of the game too. Then use the Costume menu to change to the ones you have unlocked and power them up by fighting. I'm not sure where you are in the game, but if you watch my play through video's from part 1 (I show the whole game), you can see me changing and using different costumes. I show the menu's and how to do it there. Watch the first few episodes of the game, because I was learning how to do it then myself too. I hope that helps you, but watching the video is probably the easiest way to see how to do it! ^_^

@NipponGaming Hey, thanks for replying. Currently, I'm in where I just beat Gnome. I'm still trying to figure out why I can't change costumes freely and how come I can only summon Efreet but not Sylph and Gnome. I'm struggling to find a good decent walkthrough, plus the English patch was not all the way. Struggling for sure. Lol

@@shadyogre6396 Hi ShadyOgre, You can only do the summons when you get a pact Ring and make a pact with the Summon. You can only summon Ifrit for now, the others will come much later. (You have to revisit the dungeon where you fought them). Also, I think I might know your costume problem. Are you trying to change your costume in the Dungeons? Because you cannot there. The only places you can change Dio and Mel's costumes are in safe areas like the Town or Map screen. So if you are in the dungeon or area with enemies the option to change costume won't work. So maybe you are trying to change the costume while you are in the dungeons or explorable areas. Try it only on the map screen or in a town, not in the dungeons. The game is really fun, so I hope you can get it to work better, and the costumes are really fun too! ^_^ Good luck!

@NipponGaming yes, I was trying to change costumes in the dungeon. Usually, matching them up with the enemy situations and elements. I tried to look them up, and yeah, what you're saying was right. And I can also change costumes on a save point. I agree, the game is really fun (like the other Tales of series), but if only there was an updated English Patch (the whole game) contents AND a decent walkthrough. Because what I've found in GameFaqs is kinda confusing.

If you are stuck, just watch my walkthrough, I show the whole game from start to finish in Japanese, with English commentary and explanation. Have fun, and make sure to use Mel and her costumes sometimes in combat, she is actually a lot of fun to use! ^_^

Ys 1 eternal is the best version, the level cap is way higher making monster killing at darm tower worth it, I'm doing a LP of Ys 2 so I was looking on how let's players do that game and your play of it was very good, one thing I loved was you didn't time waste by talking to all random NPC.

It's a bit complex, but the short explanation is that some words are said differently just because they are 'easier' to say that way. Not every syllable is pronounced, depending on the word. The 'U' in Sasuke is quickly and briefly said, because if you pronounced it fully it would be more difficult to say. Same as 'Shitsureshimasu' and 'Desu', the 'U' is not strongly pronounced because it sounds odd and harder to say. Most words the 'U' is fully pronounced such as 'Subarashii'. (In reality this is not optional) The pronunciation of the Japanese words is fixed, however some Anime characters do the 'funny' version to make it sound 'Cute'. Desuuu. English has this also: 'Liked' is pronounced as 'Likt', with a 'T' sound because its harder to say the actual 'ed' at the end. Saying 'I Lik-ed' the movie' is pretty weird.

Haha, Might be a harder quest to find that, than to just fight the 'six evil monster girls'. Although I think I saw one guy....running the Armor Shop. Which, if you look closely, has all female designed armor sets.

This one is, it's definitely in my Top 5 Tales Games of All Time!! Battle system is so much fun and the story has many surprises. Highly recommended! ^_^

GTO = Great Teacher Onizuka. A very famous classic Manga and Anime series here in Japan. You should check it out! The artwork in Magic Knights Rayearth by CLAMP has always impressed me.

The Intro with Adol fighting Darm always gives me chills. Such an epic scene. Plus, you can't beat Adol transforming into a Ru with transform magic. I don't think any of the other YS IV versions have that.
