Is it worth to get super formula because i got promoted yesterday to b license?
@LastAcrossTheLine11 күн бұрын
It depends because it is a super fun car to drive but not hard to overdrive. If you have good acceleration and are good with throttle compliance then yes because this is the car for that. I haven't driven the Toyota so I don't know about that one but that is what the Honda one feels like. But if you like formula racing and have good throttle compliance or believe you have enough time to learn how to then yes because the racing is fun and competitive but only on certain weeks. It is an odd one and has good and bad tracks on its calendar I think it's at Phillip Island right now and is getting 7 people per time whereas this one as Watkins had like 3 splits of 20. So yeah if you have the skills and good, close racing then yes but track-wise it might not be one you get to or want to race every week. But if you can use the Demo Drive whenever it's available to test both for yourself and look at some other creators' videos like Jimmy Broadbent's one and other big creators because they can give more detailed insight into the car,

It’s my first season I’m only racing Ferrari rn & new track Enzo is exciting. My first race got caught in carnage. Last race I missed my marker & lost P4 on the last turn 😂 but I got a lot of races in my future so I’ll get better.

Smart pick, gt3 from start getting used to it and only it and at the track that Ferrari own. What could be better. Like you say many races in the future and iracing is always a stepping stone every race and every track and car that you can always learn even at the top level. But great to hear someone else has joined the iracing family.

That one left hander when you come off the boot section track is a real son of a bitch. Easy to spin out easy to slam into the wall on exit. I always have to force myself to keep it tidy through there

I do not know if I said it in the video but I know I have in others I am not really a fan of front-engine cars and I have tried the amg gt3 on both iracing and acc and I suck at it, I seem to be better in mid-engine cars like Porsche and Audi, probably down to handling and like having the car behind me instead the weight in front. And kind of also possibly my distaste for the Merc brand...

yeah there was an issue with the audio recording and everything mic was echoed due to it, fixed it a day or two after this video. Took me some time to find what was wrong. Using a wheel or Pad?? I feel your steering is too twitchy.. if your on a Fanatec try say a 420-520 rotation, and Natural Friction and Inertia, set anywhere between 12 and 26% This gives the car generally a better feel and more controllable, feels more like a real car as the steering is then weighted, also in wet/snow driving it doesn't completely feel like there isn't anything under the wheels
@LastAcrossTheLine10 ай бұрын
Yeah I use Fanatec wheel. Thanks currently I just use the settings given on fanalabs and that has 0% on Friction and Inertia so this should help. Thank you.

@LastAcrossTheLine Жыл бұрын
The one that I use that's in the video is from Racelab but it is in the premium version of racelab, the fuel calculator and relative is in the free version. The premium is 3.9 euro a month which could add up in the long run. There are other ones but I can't remember the names of the services but I think some may give you track map for free.

just do strict track limits then it will be fun
@LastAcrossTheLine Жыл бұрын
True, but when I started the series it was on strict but it kept being weird and giving penalties when I was still on track and it was quite messed up but that could be down to the game just coming out then so I will give it another try now with it being out for like 5 months. It won't be in for a few episodes as they are already recorded but then it will be.

Try adjusting your pedal software a bit. You don't want to go over something like 75-80% braking in the Clio. Once you get the pedal dialed to your muscle memory you'll see fewer lock ups and faster lap times 👍
@LastAcrossTheLine Жыл бұрын
Thanks, I will try and see what I can do about my pedals.

oval racing is momentum based and has little to nothing to do with the steering wheel. the goal is to keep the wheel as straight as possible and drive the car with your feet. after learning this working on techniques that help keep your average rpm as high as possible will make you really fast.
@johnhagen5545 Жыл бұрын
Best way to get faster is practicing being on the absolute limit, finding that limit, and then being able to consistently push to at or near that limit controllably
@LastAcrossTheLine Жыл бұрын
Will do, thanks.
@johnhagen5545 Жыл бұрын
Turn off auto blip for the clutch, all you need to do in order to shift is lift off gas and then up shift, no clutch necessary. In the corners, it’s all about being smooth on power and wheel input, the more you are turning the wheel center of the corner, the more right front tire wears. You should be upshifting a mere maybe 100 rpm before rev limiter, you looked pretty smooth in the beginning. NASCAR is all about momentum, keeping minimum speed up while not being out of control, and at a place like Charlotte, wrapping the car around the white line, as well as a higher arcing entry is important
@LastAcrossTheLine Жыл бұрын
ok thank you, I really need the help to get better and you have given the advice needed so thank you and I will work on this and make this smoother and keep momentum. But once again THANK YOU.
@doostah Жыл бұрын
when you go off track, especially on grass, lift. the collision you had in FP was avoidable. staying on throttle will make you spin. and its easier to RTP than limp the car back especially in FP and Q.
@LastAcrossTheLine Жыл бұрын
Its always makes sense even to me that I should lift when I go off but for some reason in sim I just don't, have no clue why but yeah need to start actually lifting not just thinking about doing it if I do it.

Have to say, you are ruining your own races. You need to be a little more gentle with the right foot and you are not really trail braking at all. Most of your issues though are just you being a little too impatient to get back on the throttle. Break earlier and use the breaking momentum of the car to turn and then use the wheel. Induce a little oversteer before turning in and that will help keep the minimum speed up. Over all you aren't horrible but unless you sort these issues out, you will struggle to get much above 1 - 2k iRating.
@LastAcrossTheLine Жыл бұрын
Yeah looking back you are right, I do mess up my own races. I think in this instances I was annoyed with how close I was to not being collected but after that and being so far back you are completely right I was too impatient and the feel of needing to get back to the pack quickly. I do struggle to trial brake, I don't know why to be honest I'm not sure if you do trial brake in F1 cars which if not might make sense with me possibly having that muscle memory and not trial braking but yeah hopefully I can get it nailed down. Over all I now looking back needed this comment and also you giving advice of how to tackle these issues is so so so helpful and yeah hopefully I very soon use them and get above 1-2k. But once more you are so right and obviously thank you for pointing it out, was hoping someone might point something out at some point of what I am doing wrong with the overlay but yeah your brutally true comment is so much help, Thank You.

There are many faults with WRC yet you never mention them. kzbin.info/www/bejne/lYaTpGZ-jd11p9Esi=vXT1Mh0avT6BaXzT
@LastAcrossTheLine Жыл бұрын
I mean yeah sure, but I haven't really had many faults like performance wise and everything and if its more handling wise and of how it doesn't drive like a rally car or something, I don't know, I race more GT and Formulas and do not really have experience with these kinds of games that much, I more play rally games for the fun of them and the difference more than the realism and etc. But in the other videos I do say some things not much because I'm not much of a hater on games I just take positives if it is better than the version that came before which was WRC Generations. I did have a issue that the streamer music is still copyrighted just not claimed but from my side that's the only issue/fault I've come across.

As a rally game in general, I would agree with you because it does also have WRX which is fun and everything. But for me I honestly have more fun on this because its a bit less sim, bit more open and is made for WRC after quite a few boring WRC games which all followed WRC 7. So I agree and also Disagree. Also thanks for putting links to videos proving your point makes it better, but yeah i still enjoy this one. Also the time put into DiRT Rally 2.0 has paid off, it should do the same hopefully for this one.
