Japanese pastry is a lot more elegant than Korean pastry. Koreans put too much stuff on the top. Japanese design is simpler and thus more elegant.

does Vagabond Confectionery Shop have an instagram account or a website?
I must visit and buy sweets when I go here in a couple weeks!! 💕 Thank you for sharing these local bakeries so I can find some hidden gems while I'm there.
this is so characteristic of Japanese people: whatever they make, they do it with the attitude of a Japanese samurai sword maker. Patience, perseverance, perfection, aesthetics. Those are values ingrained in Japanese society. And Japanese customers appreciate the products made this way, they pay for it. And the appreciate the maker too. How different this is in most other cultures in the world. In my country, The Netherlands, craftsmanship is much less appreciated unfortunately, and such a beautiful, perfectionist shop would probably not survive here because the costs of running such perfection would be sky high, and few customers willing to pay for it.

Very neat and products look yum but can't help wondering how he makes a living.. Its a few pieces of each product, obviously being one person there's only so much he can do..
