Anyone know the name of the song he plays with the sesame street muppets, or is it an original composition for the show?

Video was awesome until some one chose to disrespect this man by stitching random videos together to present a filthy message. Winston Marsalis is one of the most coolest guys. He’s never been disrespectful the times I’ve seen him either in-person or on a stage or on a TV screen. Y’all have to learn to respect people truly and not just say the right things while pretending to be respectful.

I like that at 0:37 he totally killed the piece but still gives a "how was that?" look at the end.

Note to self: watch the full video before you show it to a class of 8th grade trumpets.

That self discipline line got me. I never knew when to stop. I always played injured and never embraced silence. I Couldn’t comprehend stopping as a way of improvement and often suffered the consequences. I wish I thought as a kid as patient as I can now as an adult.

When he asks for questions I would like to ask him (regarding his interview on Ken Burn's Jazz documentary) how he knew what Louis Armstrong was thinking back in the 1920s and 1930s.

The cynical editing of this video shines a not so positive light on your character concerning the goodwill of Wynton Marsalis.

I spent four years with him at Youngstown State University during our undergrad. He was far, far, far above and beyond even on his first days there. I became a public school music teacher and then a school counselor several years later which isn't bad, but... he became a world class performer, a college professor, and clinician.

The Cedars bar in Youngstown, OH when Sean was 19 or 20 and a student at YSU. Backed up the great guitarist Teddy Pantales, Shedrick on drums, Todd Grubbs on bass. Playing their a@@ses off.

@@richardk6659 I spent many a Tuesday night (jazz night) there on both sides of the stage. I DJ'd swing night there on Thursdays too for several years. I remember the trio of Teddy, Hobbs, and... if I recall correctly, it was more often Jeff Bremmer on Bass those years when Jones and I were 19 and 20, although Teddy's trio went through multiple dummers and bassists over the decades. But I'm not sure I spelled Bremmer right. I'm glad to know someone has the same Tuesdays in their past as I do. Glad to hear from you. I'm sad that the place changed when Tommy died. That was really a great place, not only for the jazz/swing, but for Coinmonster and other heavy bands on the weekends if you're into that kind of thing.
