I actually love a lot of the baby pokemon designs, but i wish some of their evolutions would've gotten a buff when their babies came out. Chimecho and Wobbufett should've been given stats more befitting an adult mon especially. Both would've been easy to do too. Give Chimecho a higher speed and sp atk or sp def (personally i feel like Chimecho's design says high hp, high sp def, and good speed, but eh). Give Wobbufett a def/sp def boost and more hp (also REDISTRJBUTE ITS OFFENSIVE STATS, it will never cease to amaze me when Gamefreak gives certain pokemon such pointless stats (looking at you Shedinja's defenses))

I actually like Munchlax. It always felt weird for a massive Snorlax to hatch from an egg, so creating a smaller version seems reasonable and justified to me.

Slowking was so unnecessary. The design barely changes and the only difference (statewise) is the Defense and Special Defense being swapped. Now that I’m thinking about it a lot of Johto Pokemon are unnecessary.

I won’t lie, I am a Lickilicky and Probopass defender but Ambipom is absolutely one of my all-time least favorite Pokémon ever. I know it’s an evolution to a regional variant but I have to mention Sneasler. In the bottom 10 right with Ambipom. As for the babies, yeah most of them are pretty unnecessary. With the exception of Pichu and Elekid, I don’t care too much about the babies and I’m glad they’ve kinda strayed away from making more of them.

It is explicitly stated that Mega stones appeared after AZ fired the Ultimate weapon, which infused the stones with Infinity energy (as mentioned in ORAS). In ORAS, Zenia hypothesizes the existence of a universe where the Ultimate Weapon was never fired and therefore there would be no Mega Energy. If the Link Cable sent the meteor to that universe, they would be unable to defend against it.

Pokemon has been trying to do way too much with many of these games. I feel like old pixel-y graphics and music became integrated into the charm of the game. Now with these "crazy 3d worlds" it stripped away that charm people loved. Those old graphics and music is what pokemon IS. Look at any notable game or game series that overhauled graphics in a huge way and many times it was a negative (I don't mean early access games like how Rust was overhauled, I mean a game that have been around for a while then the art style was completely changed, similar to how runescape transitioned to runescape 3... it gutted all the charm.) Not to mention these "innovative" 3d worlds have big optimization problems, gameplay is framey and genuinely don't look good *enough* to justify the art style change. Although a lot of that sentiment from the community is nostalgia, I can say those older games were objectively better for a few reasons, one including the style. Having never gotten very far or even beaten Soul Silver, I have very little memory and nostalgia for it but I have been replaying it and have almost beaten it. 15 Years later I experience an almost entirely new (and old) version of pokemon that makes the last 4 main line games look like absolute garbage. They think we need and what crazier graphics, more realistic gameplay, innovative feature, but no. We want the charm back...
