I have a question. I completed my part and my parents part however, the last selection of my parents when I try to submit there signature, it sends me up to the top saying that there’s an error and then I have to sign out and complete it again another time what should I do? I called and I submitted the paperwork on mail. I don’t know what to do can you help me?

@@edithruiz7469 have you tried restarting your computer and or using a different browser. Even incognito if you have to. If none of those work after a few days then you might needa get on the phone with them. But good luck- it takes a minute to connect w a rep. Sorry for the complications you’re experiencing.

For the parents section , once I invite them they proceed though steps , there’s question I’m lost on , the question asking for total savings/checkings , etc do I put in a number for that catagory? Because every since I changed it last year and I input 0 I didn’t get any aid not I’m not sure if that was the main factor but my first and 2nd year I’ve put 0 for that question and didn’t get aid for my 3rd yr but maybe ever since the disaster of a change last year it may have change , anything helps

@@Antoniolomar Sorry to answer a question with a question - do you know if your parents made more money in 2023 than they did in 2022? I have a former student in the same situation as you. his SAI shot up and that’s what the financial aid office pointed for the reason. Lmk

@@Antoniolomar it could be that. I would hit up the office of financial aid at your school to get more clarity. Good things it’s still early in the financial aid process for 25/26 school year

It used to be worth it, but there's been a shift. Without clear direction, it can start to feel like a waste of time. I realized, maybe a little too late, that the job I’m aiming for doesn’t even require my degree. I’m not upset, I just can’t help thinking I could have finished sooner and with fewer loans. I hope people realize that college isn’t the only place to get an education.

so well said. and thank you for the comment to add your perspective. most people (at least those I work with in education) have very charged opinions abt a college degree. the truth is just as you said.

@@anthecounselorI grew up (HS '21 grad) with the notion that college graduates earn more than non grads, but this overlooks rising tuition, student debt, and stagnant wages. Schools push this narrative for profit, and we've accepted a system where everything like AP exams, college applications, and residency fees are billable. In many cases, focusing on soft skills like communication and initiative are more valuable than just a piece of paper. At least, that's the mindset I plan to carry with me as I pursue my fellowship.

@ well said again. making an informed decision regarding higher ed is trickier now for the reasons you listed. and if districts utilized counselors wisely, high schools could be the perfect time to start for students to do this exploring. but you know how that goes

@@psychopomp2853 I understand your question and it happens. I’ve had to retake classes before too. For the UCs they want you to report both times you took it. The first with the fail grade and the second with your passing grade. That’s what a UC admissions counselor advised me to do for my students. This is also a good opportunity for you to think about what to write in the additional comment section under academic history. Maybe you wanna talk about this specific class or what was going on at the time always remember to focus on the positive steps, you took to pass the class the second time around, if you choose to write about it

Wow, Coche's 10 F-Bombs 2-B's....if you wonder why some kids turn out bad, parents need to hear who's coaching them......I once was a Warrior, in the same locker room, I never heard my Head Coach Kunishima say one F-Bomb..... To this day I remember his words and it still motivates me. from the time he came to our elementary heading to the 9th grade, winning on the scoreboard is one thing, but making a winner for life is another......just to let you what type of coach Kunishima was, I was on the football team played special teams, never started but because of him I never quit, till this day I will never quit, from 9th grade to 12th we only won 2 games but we never quit, because of his words to us.....One Warrior One War at a Time.....Life

@@bradyhsiao6424 hello in this part of the application, there are no letters of recommendation however, some campuses and I know UC Berkeley is one of them may ask for recommendations later. I have also known some programs like Irvine‘s nursing to ask for recommendations as well.

My dad technichally works in north carolina, but he works from home. My mother works in california. I grew up in cali my whole life, will i not be considered a california resident?
